Data protection With BitLocker

We all know that BitLocker encrypts the data with 128-bit AES encryption.

What is 128-bit AES encryption ?

AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard. It is a technique of encoding a disk drive, partition or files. In this technique it divides data into block sizes of 128 characters and performs encryption on each block ten times to secure it and it also scramble the information.

When ever you want to decrypt the data, you have to type your password, the password will be converted to a hash key.(Hash key is a random string of characters developed by a collection algorithm that never be converted into the password). When the two hash codes match, then the password is accepted.
