Windows 8 tablets and ultrabooks with LTE connectivity: Specs, price and reviews
LTE – the long term evolution is the 4th generation network technology giving users very fast uplink and downlink speed. This post covers specs, price and reviews for some Windows 8 tablet and laptops equipped with LTE technology.
LTE or 4G Technology :
LTE network stands for 'Long Term Evolution' technology which is a radio access technology delivering up to 100 Mbps wireless speed for accessing multimedia applications and HD content-movies at very higher downlink and uplink. This is also known as 4G – Fourth generation technology that is widely adopted by mobile service carriers for providing very high speed networks for their forthcoming generation networks. Most recently, many ultrabook and tablets manufactures have also started designing their machine with this innovative technology. In this post, I am going to illustrate specs, price and reviews for many such Windows 8 tablet and ultrabooks.
Here my first pick is Samsung Series 7 gaming ultrabook with 17.3 inch LED glossy display core i7 processor and 2 megapixels camera and the second pick is the lightweight EliteBook Revolve tablet from HP with 11.6 inch display, LTE and NFC technology where the last pick is Panasonic FZ-G1 Windows 8 Pro Tablet with 10.1 inch display and two cameras.
Samsung Series 7 ultrabook

The machine is capable to upgrade to Windows 8 operating system and powered up by very fast quad-core i7 3610QM processor clocking at 2.3 GHz and 16GB DDR3 RAM (1,33MHz). In respect of internal storage, the device owns 1.5TB of hard drive with 2x750 GB storage (7200 rpm) and 128GB SSD for very fast boot up and also having a preloaded utility also called Samsung Fast Boot. Being operating on Windows 7 and ability to upgrade to Microsoft's latest operating platform, the Series 7 ultrabook is a fantastic device for gaming and surfing so fits for everyday use of family and business purpose. The device supports connectivity of 2.0 MP webcam, and Wi-Fi antenna for wireless internet, stereo speakers, audio mute and YouCam software, 5.1 and 7.1 channel audio (to connect with an external receiver or speaker) and subwoofer (underneath offer up loud, powerful sound for gaming and watching movie). This is an expensive gaming offer from Samsung that will be priced at $1699 to customers.
HP EliteBook Revolve Windows 8 convertible laptop

Unlike earlier version EliteBook 2730p tablet with 12.1 inches display, the Revolve comes with 11.6 inch display with antiglare coating and LED backlit with ability to swiveling around for giving different viewing angles and giving better presentation to users. Earlier version 2730p tablet was powered up by a 1.8GHz processor and 4MB RAM, on the other hand, company has not revealed complete specs for its new device yet but confirmed to have a new generation Intel processor with 4G LTE port, USB 3.0 and NFC capability also. The machine also expected to have fingerprint reader for access control as well as other protective software like its predecessor.
Pricing and availability :
Price for HP EliteBook Revolve has not been revealed by the company but it expected to be more expensive than EliteBook 2730p which was priced at US$1,670. It will arrive in market in Mar 2013.
Panasonic FZ-G1 Windows 8 Pro Tablet

The Panasonic machine features a 10.1 inch display with higher 1, 920 x 1,200 (WUXGA) pixels and brightness rating of 8010 cd/m2 as well as 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 256 GB SSD memory giving system very fast booting and an optimized performance. Customers are also given an option to opt for a micro SDXC removable storage. Powered with Intel's third generation dual-core i5-3437U vPro processor is clocking at 1.9GHz. The Panasonic machine weights around 2.43 lbs and measures to 10.6 x 7.4 x 0.74 inches and provides really a long battery backup of up to 8 hours to keep you away from outlet for more time.
Panasonic well engineered this Windows 8 Pro tablet with various connectors like Micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro USB as well as innovative 4G LTE or optional 3G network technology for giving you a very fast download and internet browsing speed. Still the prince information for this rugged tablet is disclosed from Panasonic but this is also expected to be an expensive offer for customers and still you will have to wait for some more time for having this awesome tablet PC.
