Facebook game: Gardens of Time review

Gardens of Time can be considered as the first quality hidden objects games on Google plus. And you have to agree that it will be difficult for any game maker to actually make a game which can compete with Gardens of Time. It has been a very famous HOG game on Facebook and has brought to Google plus the same gorgeous visuals, interesting characters and many scenes to explore. Any gamer interested in HOG has to try this game out.

Your character plays as a new recruit of Time Society which travels back and forth in time going to different historical monuments like the Ancient Egypt and London of 1960. Through the game you are guided by experienced mentors. You have a competition in form of a young lady who is also trying to get in the society and moreover does not play by the fair rules.

The scenes of the game are divided into chapters according to the time period and you are free to go back and forth in whichever scene you want to go. In fact you will have to go back a lot in the previous chapters to cross the next chapters in Gardens of Time.

The game is played like any other HOG game most of the time, you are required to pick up some times like Belt, watering can etc in least time. Though there is no time limit but you do get bonuses for being extra fast. There is a hint system in place to guide you towards the items to be collected and this fills over time. But there are some tools too which help you to track down the items like goggles which point where these objects are and a thermometer which shows you the direction where you will be able to find the objects. However these tools unlike the hints are not unlimited and you need to do trading with your friends to use them after a certain time.

You need to increase you start rating to proceed towards the next level. For this you will be required to play a scene many times to increase your points which will be added to your star rating. It is not that you need to max to the four stars rating to proceed to the next level but even to get to the two or three star rating you need to earn quite an amount of stars. However as you repeat a scene the objects do change but their location doesn't which makes the consecutive games a bit dull and boring.

As I mentioned earlier, it is not only a HOG game. Here you have a garden which you need to decorate with the money you earn. You can buy ancient artifacts and other historical objects to decorate your garden which earns you reputation points. These points are required to unlock new scenes.

You can also send and receive gifts from your friends and also visit their garden. In these gardens you will find many other characters roaming around which are in need of help. This takes you to a mini HOG game of 60 seconds where you need to collect as many objects as possible in the 60 seconds. This mini game is the one which happens after Bejeweled Blitz. You can challenge your friends to defeat your high score at any time.

Except for the repetitive placement of objects in the particular scenes the game is a perfect social HOG. With the high quality graphics and interesting world this is how an ideal HOG should be.
