Tiny Wings: an iOS Game

Tiny Wings is a new game application for iOSplatform. It is a single player/local multiplayer arcade game. The game was voted as Apple's iPhone Game of the Year 2011. It is developed by Andreas Illiger.

The game was first released in February 2011 and has sold about 6.5 million copies of the application. The second version of the Game was released in July, 2012. It has a new mode added which was not in the previous version - Flight Mode. To play this game your phone should have iOS 3.1 or later for the first version of the game. For the second version iOS 3.2 or later is required.

Storyline and Gameplay

Tiny Wings game applications doesn't have any storyline. As suggested by the name, the players have to take control of the birds whose wings are very small to fly. So they use hills to increase their flying speed for their journey to different islands. It is timing which matters most in this game for the players. As the player completes various missions of the game it can upgrade their nests.

Flight School Mode in Tiny Wings Version 2
A new mode was added in the second version of the game - Flight Mode. In this mode four birds competes in the race. They have to reach to the other island. These four birds are - Flami (of pink color), Peck (of blue color), Peli (of orange color) and Owell (of green color). A player can rename these birds as well. And due to this feature, the game has now become multiplayer game.

Review of Tiny Wings

Tiny Wings game application provides the players a simple GamePlay. They do not have to bother about the strategies and other complicated things. At the same time the gaming experience is fantastic.

Players will try to master this game as it is totally based on the perfect timing of using various options like when to fly during the slides on the hills. I think Tiny Wings is a very good iOS game. The new look of every island will not let you bore.
