Changing handsets frequently has nowadays become not only just a fad to get the latest technology, but also sort of requirement to be able to use the latest apps that come only for the latest OS. Sooner or later, you do change your smartphone and if that has been JUST NOW for you then probably the biggest task in your mind right now would be how to transfer all your contacts, messages, photos and videos from your old smartphone to this new one; especially if the two smartphones are of different platforms. Even when changing smartphone within the same ecosystem, like for example from Micromax A093 to Galaxy S5, there is no straightforward way to migrate your data unlike in Windows mobile which have a "Transfer my data" app to make the task easy. However, with a good software like Wondershare MobileTrans, this task can become too easy to even think about!

The utility is more simple that you can expect it to be. Start with downloading the software from the above link. You can choose to go for the paid version or the free trial version which comes with limited functionalities. The downloaded executable is just a stub of less than 1 MB so it shouldn't take much time to download. After that, when you start the installation through the executable, it will download the rest of the software and install it on your system. Ideally it should not take more than 4-5 minutes of your time.
Once you have successfully connected the two devices there will be primarily two items on the screen. One is the primary smartphone, that is your "source" smartphone from which the data will transferred to the new smartphone and the second will be your "target" new smartphone. In case they are appearing in the wrong order you just need to click on the Flip button the change their roles. Once connected your screen should be something like the image below.
In the middle you have the option to specify what all you want to transfer. By default everything will be selected. Once you click on the Start Copy Button all your data, the logs, contacts, photos, videos, music, apps and calendar will be transferred to your "target" smartphone.Feature highlights

It does a complete transfer/backup of not only your personal data but also of your apps. I feel this is a complete package for anyone looking to make data transfer from one smartphone to another or even for data back up on your smartphone for that matter! What do you think? That would be a great relief for those migrating from Symbian to Android. So far they had no option to effectively transfer the data between the two devices. What is more of a good news is the fact that it can transfer your apps along with the personal data.
