How to hide Windows 10 Frequent Folders, Favorites and Recent files from explorer window?

Have you installed the Windows 10 OS Technical Preview? What is your review of the Windows 10 OS features? Did you like the Windows 10 Home tab view with options like Frequent Folders, Favorites as well as Recent Files in the file explorer of Windows 10? Please read further to know about tips to disable Frequent Folders, Favorites, etc. from display on Windows 10 File Explorer.

One of the most obvious change visible in the latest Windows 10 Operating System is the option of "Home" visible when the file explorer is opened. In case of the recent Windows OS versions, the explorer window opened with direct navigation to folders like Favorites, This PC, Documents, etc. However, with this Microsoft Windows 10 preview, we could clearly see the new "Home" view that clubs together Favorites, Frequent folders, Recent files, etc.

Why will one want to hide Frequent Folders or Favorites folder in Windows 10?

One uses the PC or laptop for different kinds of personal stuff. You may receive several confidential documents via email or you may prepare some important presentation and store it on your system. In such cases, you wouldn't want a third person to be able to view any such files accidentally. This is exactly the danger with "Frequent Folders" option as it tracks the stuff that you access most frequently on your system. It is useful only if someone wants to track what their children are accessing on their PC or laptop. For others, this feature may prove to be a deterrent sooner rather than later. Hence, there could be a growing need to clear stuff from Frequent folders and Recent files as well as hide the pinnable Favorites option.
