Newegg to Establish Presence in India

Newegg at the recently held Computex 2014 announced a major expansion plan to establish presence in India, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore and the Netherlands. As part of the expansion, Newegg will be joining hands with Colorful Group to bring high quality products to customers in India and other countries.



Colorful Group is a market leader in Asian markets and we look forward to expanding that presence to the US and beyond," said Mills at a press conference in Computex 2014.

According to Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer, Newegg, the expansion is a part of 'blueprint for global success' that it unveiled at Computex roundtable event.

Newegg is well known for selling quality PC hardware components and electronic goods at attractive prices. If they establish presence in India, it means their competitors will be Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal. In addition to PC components, Newegg also specialises in selling laptops, desktops and other electronic items.

Newegg is planning to establish presence after the announcement of FDI in e-commerce policy by the new BJP led Indian government in early July 2014. The new development will enable Newegg to directly build warehouses, stock and sell products on their own.

However, Newegg has closed its operations in Malaysia in December 2013 stating that the business was handled by a third part vendor and they didn't meet their expectations of high quality and customer service.

Newegg, a California based online PC hardware retailer and has already established presence in US, UK, Canada, Australia and China by providing quality products at attractive prices.
