Review of game Earth Defense Force 2025

Earth Defense Force 2025 is a third-person shooter game and the second game to be released in this series. The game was first released in Japan last year and in February this year in rest of the world. It is developed by Japanese company Sandlot and published by D3 Publisher for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3).
Gameplay and Storyline
If you are not aware of the previous game in this game series i.e. Earth Defense Force 2017, and you are assuming that this game is based on the concept of Aliens and a force to counter them to save earth. Yes, you are absolutely correct in doing so. In this case the savior of the earth is a combined force of all countries on earth. They must battle against the invading alien creatures (large insects, spiders, retiarius, UFOs, etc.) who are making their second attempt to conquer earth planet in year 2025. The first attack was in year 2017 which was the storyline of first game Earth Defense Force 2017. You can play this game on your PlayStation or Xbox device in both modes: single-player mode as well as multiplayer mode via online.
The gameplay is the most interesting and fun part of this game. The player controls the character of a soldier of EDF (Earth Defense Force). There are more than ninety missions in the game and numerous weapons (a total 700) to choose from in order to battle the enemies. Player has to start killing and blasting the aliens from the word go. So you choose a character from the four available - Storm 1, Wing Diver (female character who can fly), The Air Raider and Fencer. Once you have selected the character it's time to select weapons and then difficulty level (a total of five). As you will complete various missions you will receives many weapons upgrade throughout.
Review
Instead of average graphics and almost no storyline, the game has still delivered in its gameplay which will definitely please the hardcore gamers. It provides you a lot of fun where your only aim is to blast and kill the alien creatures. I will recommend to play the game in Normal difficulty for the first time. Try harder difficulty level only after you get used to the gameplay. The selection of weapons at the start of the game seems very important. A wrong selection may make your chosen character dead in minutes when playing more difficult levels. The multiplayer mode allows you to play the game with maximum four. Believe me, the game experience doubles when you play it in this mode. The most disappointing part of the game is its sound and graphics which may concern some of the gamers. I will give EDF 2025 a score of 7.5 out of 10.
