There was a time when CD writer was an expensive device and not many could afford that luxury. I bought my first CD burner drive for US$200 several years ago. Recently I bought another one for US$ 20 after mail in rebates!
CD burner has become so cheap and they are part of most of the PCs and laptops. But what about CD Burner software? Unless you are willing to pay someone money, most people have to stick with the limited features available in Windows 7.
In last several months, I have tried many CD burning software. Most of them claim they are absolutely free, but they are limited in features, so complicated to use or expire after a short trial period.
Recently I came across the CDBurnerXP software and I am fully satisfied with it. I wont say it is the best CD burner software, but I can say it is the best, free CD burner software I ever used.
No strings attached - it is absolute free. It works perfectly fine. It never crashed on Windows 7 PC and Laptop. In last few months, I did not throw away even a single CD because the write failed.
Before I found CDBurnerXP, I had thrown away several CDs just because the CD writing software simply failed to write. Many times, the error messages shown by those tools sound greek to me!
I love CDBurnerXP and it is my official CD writing software for now.
They claim they support DVD writing, Blue Ray recording and HD DVDs. I havent tried those features, but I trust them.
