How to fix the issue if Outlook calendar and task reminders do not appear in Outlook 2003 and 2010

In this article, I have outlined the steps to fix the issue when a user is unable to get the calendar and task reminders not popping up in Outlook 2003 and 2010 versions.

Introduction

Reminders pop up in outlook for task and calendar invites whenever a user sets a reminder by going to the task option of the outlook to perform important events and when he accepts or sends an invite for a meeting via outlook calendar. Reminders can be set up before 30 minutes or more or less based on the requirement in outlook when the meeting or the training or task has to be started.

Due to some settings change in the outlook calendar, these reminders do not pop up before the meeting and the users have a risk of missing important meeting or appointment if they happen to forget it due to the continuous engagement of daily activities at work.

It might also occur if an outlook reminder gets corrupt and impacts the other reminders to pop up or behave as intended.

The issue might be related to free busy information update of the user or when the recurring meeting request clashes with another meeting. You can know more about the free busy and recurring meeting information in my other articles by seeing the link below.
