Samsung Galaxy S4 can be considered to be a winner with its super AMOLED 5 inch capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution over Apple iPhone's 4 inch LED backlit IPS LCD screen with 640 x 1136 pixels resolution. The advanced features of Samsung Galaxy S4 based on eye tracking technology like smart scroll, smart pause and smart rotate are going to work in favor of Samsung. The new Galaxy Samsung S4 is drawing a lot of world attention since the company has already gained fame as the world's top smartphone brand manufacturer with its flagship phone Galaxy S III. There is primary 8 MP camera at the rear supporting snaps up to 3264x2448 pixel resolution with features like autofocus, LED flash, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. There is also 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera for recording videos at 1080p @ 30fps. The connectivity is supported by 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900), 3G (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100) and 4G (LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600). The data transfer is supported by GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, EDR and microUSB v2.0 (MHL) and USB on-the-go. All said and done about the good features of Samsung Galaxy S IV, now let us look at the features that might cause a little despair for few users. The smartphone has been criticized vis a vis iPhone5 of Apple due to its plastic body build-up. Keeping iPhone5 side by side with Galaxy S IV would make the later look pale. The only metal that Samsung has used on Galaxy S4 is the rim of the casing visible along the sides of this phone. The rest of the components like volume rocker, lock button and cam button are all made of plastic. The matte and glass finish with sharp edges of the Apple iPhone5 makes its appearance much attractive than that of the Galaxy S4. When we look at the back of the Samsung Galaxy S4 it is nothing but plastic that has been used to encompass the phone inside the plastic shell. Compared to this feature of Galaxy S4, the Apple iPhone 5 owners will feel proud to have an all metal finish and designer looks of their phone. In addition to that, the back of the Galaxy S4 does not have smooth curves and has a protruding camera lens that does not equate the smooth finish of iPhone5. Last but not the least, the earphone jack of Samsung Galaxy S4 is placed at its top bar whereas the Apple has taken all the care to give an all out designer look to its iPhone5.
