One can even detach one side of the cord and attach a little adapter which can directly be inserted into the plug thereby decreasing the length of cord.Design of Chromebook Pixel:
The Chromebook Pixel is made up of anodized aluminium which weighs around 3.35 pounds and just 16.2 mm thick. It has in-built active cooling with no visible vents. It's rectangular in shape with sharp edges. It has a very industrial and professional look. In the front there is really nothing other than a little lift to open it up. One doesn't need to hold the base of the stand while opening the screen. In the left we have a headphone port, two USB 2.0 ports, a mini display ports and a power input. In the back it has a piano hinge which holds the screen up all together. In the right, it has a SD card slot and a sim card slot for LTE versions. The built-in speaker is super loud and shows no distortion. The speakers are hidden beneath the keyboard just like on any Macbook.Display of Chrome book Pixel:
The Chromebook Pixel has 4.3 million Pixels on a ~13 inch (12.85 inch to be precise) screen and is mind boggling. The screen comes with a 2560 X 1700 resolution with 239 ppi. The display is simply phenomenon with awesome viewing angles. I have no words to explain the display. This is also a gorilla glass multi-touch screen. It has 3:2 Aspect ratio, which is square in shape unlike other laptops available in the market. This is going to be the best display for any laptop manufactured till date.Keyboard:
Chromebook Pixel has the best keyboard of all chromebooks ever. They have a really nice layout design and the keys feel good. The keys up on the top are more like buttons; they need to be pressed harder. It also contains multi-gesture and multi-touch track pad. It has back lit chrome keyboard which makes it easy to use even in the dark.Technical Specification of Chrome book Pixel:
It is powered by Intel Core i5 Processor (c) with 1.8 GHz frequency. It also has a Intel HD Graphics 4000(Integrated) GPU. It houses dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 and has 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Battery of Chromebook Pixel:

Google has tagged a price of 1299$ for Wi-Fi version and 1499$ for LTE versions. So, the question is whether it is worth the price tag. That's a tough call because it all depends on your needs. Personally, I don't feel a need of paying such a hefty amount.Demerits of Chromebook Pixel:
• There is no option for video editing.
• It is not easy to use podcast on the web.
For these two reasons, one may need to have another laptop to do the above tasks. Is it better than Macbook Pro with retina display?
In my opinion, it is better than Macbook Pro because of the display factor and compactness. It has more pixels and is compact than the 15 inch Mac book Pro with retina display.
