How to shop on Snapdeal?

If you want to purchase any product, first of all you need to select a category and then a specific product in that category. The price of the product, product description, specification and customers' review about the product will be automatically displayed. Both the MRP price and the price after discount will be shown on your screen. You can check the details of payment methods, shipping charges and number of days for the delivery of product.

Many lucrative offers are given by the Snapdeal website. The offers vary with the seasons & festivals. The website gives a range of offers on holidays like Christmas & New Year. Sometimes, free gifts are given to the customers, other times discounts are being given. Some of these offers given by Snapdeal are mentioned below.

Shipping charges are usually deducted on the online purchase of goods but on some products, there are no shipping charges. This depends upon the price of product or the quantity. Next thing that we need to consider is the payment method. Snapdeal provides payment options like Credit/Debit card, Credit card EMI, Net banking, Cash on Delivery, SD Cash. A good thing about this website is the Cash on Delivery feature. In my point of view, almost all customers are using this feature in which the payment is made only after the customer receives the product. I think you must be familiar with the other payment methods except the Credit card EMI. In the Credit card EMI method, the payment can be made in 3-6 months of installment; the minimum cart value for this is Rs. 2500. This facility is only for the credit card holders of HDFC, ICICI, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Axis, Kotak & HSBC bank.

Cancellation, Return and Refund policies of Snapdeal :

Snapdeal offers trustworthy Cancellation, Return and Refund policies. If the customer wants to cancel his order, he needs to mail at "", the order ID along with the reason for the cancellation. For any valid cancellation reason, the order will be cancelled and money will be refunded.

If a customer wants to return the product due to its damage, then all he needs to do is to take a picture of the damaged product and mail it to the company ( within 48 hours of the product delivery. After verification, the company will ask the user to return the product. The user needs to return it by courier within a day of the receipt of information. While returning the product, the user needs to obey some rules like the product shouldn't be used and should be returned in its original packaging only which includes the price tags, labels, barcodes, user manual, warranty card, invoices etc.

The website gives 100% guarantee in its cash refund policy. Primarily, the company will try to replace the product but if it can't, the money will be refunded by cheque or by crediting the user's bank account. Only those customers who choose the Cash on Delivery payment will be refunded by cheque.

My online shopping experience with Snapdeal :

I'm not a regular customer of Snapdeal but I have purchased a Sony Ericsson Live and a Walkman from it. I chose the Cash on Delivery payment method and it cost me Rs.13,225. There was no shipping charge. From my experience, I can say that if you buy a product from this site, you will receive the product undamaged & with its quality retained. The product I received on delivery was without any damage. Today, I'm very happy with my phone. The product order page and my phone's images are given below.

Complaints about Snapdeal: Displaying wrong price for products

Snapdeal, one of the largest online market place is currently running various offers for Diwali on all the products. On 18th of Oct 14, at around 17:00 hrs, it started displaying an offer for Dell Venue 7, 16 GB with 3G tab which was showing a "before price" of 10990 and an "offer price" of 11899. It lasted for 1 hour and after 1 hour when I have searched for Dell Venue 7, it was showing a price of 9199 Rs. Is Snapdeal cheating on customers by placing faulty offers?

I want to share my experience about SNAPDEAL (call it SCAMDEAL) here in this the worst thing about Snap deal...they delete the post in this page which tells about the reality and their bad service...have some guts and work to improve customer service, rather than delete like a coward. People who are here in this page are the online buyer and should know about SNAPDEAL...Here is what happened...I bought three Dell Vostro 15 3546 from Snapdeal. One of them turned out to be defective with the mouse pad being non-responsive. We logged a complaint with Snapdeal as well as Dell. Both these fraud companies said that once they sell they cannot take it back, they can only repair it. It was strange. They would deliver defective products to consumers & then refuse to replace it!! This is a nice way to clear their defective lot (and show that they are giving a good price). It was a huge mistake to go with snapdeal. NEVER EVER GO FOR SNAPDEAL. IT'S A COMPLETE FRAUD COMPANY who would show attractive price & sell defective stuff. Big disappointment. Now I'm planning to take the consumer court route for this as I really feel that these highly funded companies are extremely low on ethics & are taking consumers for granted.

I dont agree with you. I ordered many things, and following items are broken:

32 inch LED TV
2 set of Dinning set
2 set of 2.1 Vox Speakers
Return not yet taken back even after one month, despite calling almost fifty times to bluedart & snapdeal and money is not refunded too.

Guess what, when I visited Snapdeal Facebook page, I saw many such complaints. Why are they selling such faulty stuff. I ordered from Flipkart, eBay India, and Amazon India too during the same time, but not even one piece was defective. There seems something fishy ? I hope snapdeal is not going to be another timtara like fraud !!
Anyone else facing this problem like me ?

This is my first brush with Snapdeal, and probably the last one. Very bad experience. The language written on the pages should be read lawyers, not simple customers. My misfortune that I ordered two units of SONY Bravia TV on worth Rs. 95000/- on 17th Nov. The site said shipped in 1 working day, later on I understood it means "will be handed over to the courier in 1 day". Today, on 26th November, I called up BlueDart (equally pathetic). They said, we have the shipment but don't know when we will be able to deliver. There was even a difference in the price reflecting on the page, and in the cart, it was about 1500/- more. I think the honeymoon period of online shopping is over. Now they are giving us the taste of "faceless" buying. I strongly recommend, pay a little extra, but buy from a brick and mortar store. If you don't like the treatment being handed over to you, at least you can slap somebody standing in front of you or shout at the store owner. Here it is nothing possible.Some fools in their customer care toll free listen to your story and then say: "Yes I understand sir, but cant help you".
To add insult to injury, about two day back my son proudly said I have a friend who works in Snapdeal. Let me call him and find out. The friend, after taking about 2-3 hours, called back and said: "I can't say where your shipment is, things are very confusing here."
Once again my strong recommendation- "STAY AWAY FROM THIS PATHETIC SITE CALLED SNAPDEAL"

I have two bad experiences in the past for last two transactions. is PATHETIC. They claim to be the India's BIGGEST ONLINE SHOPPING PLACE but it's more than worst! The first transaction, I never received the item which I ordered and after my contact to them after 15 days they told me that it will be delivered in few days as there was too much rush during Diwali Festival and then after 15 days they told me that the item cannot be posted so I claimed refund. Then I ordered another product which delivered but not as per delivery terms. I was happy atleast I got the item. The item didn't work fine so I initiated refund, the item was not picked up for a week and after I contacted their customer support, the pickup man came after 3 days. They received my item back on 17th December and the money was supposed to be given back to me in 3-5 working days but till now I didn't get the money. When I called the Snapdeal, they told me that my refund is not even processed still(1st Jan 2015) and they told they may still take a week to process my refund.

It's crap and cheating from one of the INDIA's Biggest ONLINE MARKET PLACE. DO NOT SHOP ON SNAPDEAL.

Please don't remove my feedback, it's for the public awareness.

Snapdeal & Vulcan Express worst experience:
I had placed an order on Snapdeal on 12th Sept, 2015 and it was couriered through Vulcan Express, which is an irresponsible Courier Company. It has been almost more than 10 days and yet I haven't received the courier parcel. I called the courier company and they told me that still it will take 4 more days to deliver the parcel. This means that I will get my product after 20 days of placing an order. This is completely the worst experience! I think this is not only mistake of courier company but Snapdeal too. They must check courier company's track record and then only affiliate with them. I would advise that please don't buy products from Snapdeal as they have affiliation with the very worst courier company which is Vulcan Couriers. So guys I would advise that if Snapdeal couriers your product through Vulcan Express, then please cancel your order or else you will receive your product after 20 to 21 days.

1. Partition of main compartment stitching is not done and the partition cloth and leather has come off.

2. Second compartment zip holder is missing hence i am unable to open the second compartment of the bag.

My First mail to Snapdeal regarding the leak of my contact and online transaction details. i got a reply saying that we ware looking into it and sorry for the inconvenience. Since then i am following up with them but no proper response. I got a call from call centre assuring me that her boos will call but till now i have not received the call.

Dear Snapdeal,

I have place done leather bag yesterday with following order ID Order ID: 30050870216 (1 Item) on 22nd July, 2019 and since today morning i received 3 SMS and 2 calls claiming that they are calling from Snapdeal and i have won car in lucky draw. On enquiry they told me that i have purchased a leather bag on snapdeal and my online shopping order has won Mahindra XUV car, Tata Strom and Tata Safari in 3 diffrent SMS and asking me to pay Rs 7500 and 4200 to claim the car.

They asked me to contact on the following numbers:

3) 06289864285

I got calls from the following numbers:
1) 916289864285
2) 917595944929

I just wanted to know that the calls and SMS's are genuine or it is fake? if it is fake then how come my contact details are leaked and how they got to know about my online shopping details.

Please revert back to be on this ASAP or give me the contact details your cyber cell or fraud detection personal.

Meanwhile i got the delivery of Da Tasche Brown Leather Office Bag with the following defects:

1. Partition of main compartment stitching is not done and the partition cloth and leather has come off.
