I have a D-link DSL router being used with an ADSL splitter. Despite this, Internet gets disconnected when I make phone calls or answer incoming phone calls. Definitely some problem with the modem as this issue is rectified when I go for another modem. But I want to use DLink router + modem as it gives awesome speed and signal strength.
Looking for help. Is this an issue with all the D-link modems or is this an issue just with mine.

I have an Airtel 4G sim. The router stopped working and the company tells that the routers are not made anymore! I don't want to disconnect my connection. Do these routers have SIM slots ? Is anyone having a SIM working with these routers?

Guest Author: Paulie12 Aug 2015

Hi Deepti,

The Huawei 4G routers provided by Airtel do have a SIM slot at the back, you need to remove the flip cover and then you'd be able to see it. The SIM works fine as a normal SIM does but I've been hearing that these particular routers are known to be giving problems with connectivity (as told by the network technician who had visited me from Airtel).

Honestly, don't know if it's really the router or the Airtel's pathetic network which is the root cause but if your router doesn't work at all and it's been more than couple of days, then better to call the Airtel Customer Care number and give them a piece of your mind.

Wish you good luck with it!

BSNL is best, better than all the routers mentioned above which only give speed of 0.5 mbps with this rate but the BSNL range is so wide and offers great speed too.
