Design
D-Link DIR-605L, a cloud WiFi Router that looks similar to other normal WiFi routers but is much more compact and simply designed. The Router is covered with a glossy plastic on its top, that makes the device look much more attractive. It also features a series of blinking LEDs on the top, that helps the user to get notified regarding the connectivity status about Power, WAN, WiFi, 4 Ethernet connections etc. Over the back side of the device, it is packed with two fixed antennas which are placed towards both the ends. Between these two antennas, D-Link delivers 4 Ethernet ports and a WAN port to connect Ethernet cable. Next to the WAN port, it also delivers a port for connecting power adapter. D-Link DIR-605L is a single band N 300 WiFi router that supports frequency band up to 2.4 GHz. D-Link calls this device as a Cloud Router, as it comes with cloud enabled features than can control the router remotely via mydlink website or through apps that are available for Android or iOS running devices. With the cloud facility in this router, you can get info about or access the connected devices that are connected to the router. In order to access the cloud feature, you will need to go to the mydlink website and logon to your account. The same you can do with Android/iOS devices with its dedicated app called 'mydlink Lite'. 
D-Link DIR-605L also offers a great signal of high strength and stability to its WiFi, that gives an amazing performance to the connected devices. The four Ethernet LAN ports provided at the back of the device that can deliver 100Mbps data speed for the connected computers. The device does not have any Gigabit ports that are capable in providing high speed data processing between connected devices, the lack of USB port is also notable loss in this device. The WAN port placed next to the Ethernet ports will allow the device to take primary network connection from any of the existing broadband through an Ethernet cable. Although the device is capable in providing data speed up to 300Mpbs, it is not that nearer to the speed performance when compared to other similar routers that are capable in providing up to 450Mbps of data speed. Another great feature of this router is that it is a best power efficient WiFi router that consumes very less power(~2Watts) and there is no issue about getting heated.Conclusion
D-Link DIR-605L is a great router that features a wonderful cloud functionality, which helps the user to access the router remotely. The great performance of this WiFi router had impressed lot of users compared to other routers that are priced at this range. But the feature that made me unimpressed is the lack of Gigabit ports in this device. People looking for a huge data processing between multiple computers will feel a tremendous loss due to this lack. Apart from lack of Gigabit ports, there are lot more features that are absent in this device. Support for guest networking, dual-band USB port are some of the major loss in this device. Other than that, the device looks pretty awesome with its great features and not so bad performance. The price tag of this device is another attractive feature. D-Link DIR-605L is currently available in Indian market for about Rs. 2900 and in US for around $40. If you are looking for a cheap WiFi router for accessing network from your home with plenty of things to offer, then D-Link DIR-605L will be the apt WiFi router for your need.
