Tradus.com Affiliate program review and commission structure
Are you a blogger or webmaster trying to participate in Tradus.com affiliate program? We recently tried the Tradus affiliate marketing program and you can read our experience and reviews.
Tradus.com is an online market place, operated by ibibo Web Pvt Ltd. They have been offering an affiliate progam for publishers to earn some money by referring customers to their websites and is considered to be one of the highest paying affiliate programs in India. We recently signed up for Tradus affiliate program and would like to share our experience with everyone. Within 2 days after submitting our details in their sign up page, we received an email asking us to provide additional details about us. Also, we were asked us to fill and submit the following documents:
1. Soft copy of attached Vendor Declaration and Vendor creation form
2. Soft copy of Cancelled cheque
3. Soft copy of PAN card
Also, they required that the email address we use should match with an official domain name of our website, which sounded very reasonable requirement to eliminate unwanted, non-serious partners. It took a couple of days for us to gather the documents and submit.Commission structure of Tradus Affiliate program
Tradus.com does not display the affiliate commission structure in their website. However, I was able to get the details from them through an email. Here is the details of the commission structure we received by email, published after obtaining their permission:

From the above list, you can see that they offer pretty decent commission compared to most other eCommerce affiliate programs in India.
Cookie Period
The cookie period is 30 days, which means if you refer a customer who makes the purchase within next 30 days from the same computer, you will get referral commission.
Commission
The maximum commission per transaction is Rs 500. Also, there will be no commission paid if the buyer uses exclusive coupon codes given to other publishers. Payment for the commission earned during a month will be paid 60 days after the month end. Minimum earnings to receive payment is, Rs 1,000.
Tradus Affiliate Dashboard
Once your application is approved, ibibo will setup and affiliate account for you and will send you the login details by email. After receiving the login/password, you can login to the ibibo Ads network here - http://adsadmin.ibibo.com/ad/login.php.
ibibo Ads is an ad network, which manages several campaigns and their own subsidiary Tradus.com is also listed as a campaign in their dashabord. Click on "Tradus Affiliate Home" to generate link and banners for your Tradus affiliate program.
You may generate banners of various sizes and place in your website. One of the cool features is, you can select multiple products and add them into a single banner. Also, you could use textlinks to any product page in Tradus website. You can generate a standard textlink for the dashboard and then replace the destination url to any product url.Compare Tradus affiliate program with Flipkart affiliate
Flipkart is a well established and most popular eCommerce website in India and most of us depend on them for our online purchases. They do have a lot of specials and deals going on and offer the lowest rates for most of the products. This also means, you will have a very high conversion rate from their affiliate programs. But the commission offered by Flipkart is very low compared to other similar programs. For example, they offer 1% commission for mobile phones and accessories but Tradus offers 5% commission for the same. Flipkart offers 5% commission for Books but Tradus offers 10% commission.
From the commission perspective, Tradus is far better than Flipkart affiliate program, however, since Flipkart is a more popular online shop, you may have higher conversion rates from their programs.
