Microsoft allows users to download apps from their Windows 8 store like the way Android phone users download apps from Google Play store. How to register for Microsoft account?

In Microsoft account name you can use your existing Gmail ID or Yahoo email ID or in case you don't have one then you can create a new e-mail ID by clicking the link "Or get a new email address" below the Microsoft account name box. How to download and install Windows 8 apps from Windows store?
After creating an account with Microsoft site, visit the store from your system and navigate to the app you want to download. Click on install button and it will prompt you to key in your Microsoft account ID and password and then download and installation begins. This procedure is applicable for free apps.
In case you want to download paid app from Windows store then you have to first add your payment method to your account. To add a payment method, open Windows Store on your system and click Windows and I keys on keyboard to open settings tab. Now click on "Your account" link and then Add payment method button to complete the process.
On the next screen, you will be presented with two options 1) Credit Card 2) PayPal. Choose the desired method and fill in the requisite details and click submit button. Note: In some countries, like India, PayPal option is not available.

- It will take you to next screen where you see the ID from which your currently logged into Windows store, click on sign out button
