3G Service Providers in Indian Telecom Sector:
Ever since the introduction of cell phone in Indian market by Dhirubhai Ambhani of Reliance, today there have been many service providers existing in Indian Telecom Sector in the quest of exploring the huge potential market existing. Prominent service providers among them are Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Tata Docomo, Aircel, Reliance and BSNL. It is very difficult to rate any of these players as the best, but based on the requirement of an individual, the best service can be selected. There are many parameters to be considered up on which the service quality can be measured. Few important parameters are: Usage rate, speed of usage and network coverage range.
Best 3G Service Provider in India:
Among the market leaders, the Best 3G plan can be chosen with the following comparisons:
(i) Based on the Usage Rate:
With the price war getting intensified, the usage charge variation among various service providers has been vanishing. This has made it more worthwhile to consider the other factors while choosing the best plan. Of all the existing rates and plans as of today, Idea’s unlimited plan with 3G speed up to 6 Mbps and Tata Docomo’s monthly unlimited usage plan have been the top pick for consumers.
(ii) Based on the Network Coverage:
Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL are the top three service providers with network coverage of almost every taluk and surrounding 4 kms radius within. With the introduction of k3770 3G Dongle by Vodafone, they have been the best network provider as 3G can be accessed through sim card.
(iii) Based on the Speed of Data Transfer:
Aircel, Vodafone and Reliance are providing very good data speed despite the fact that they are not the best in tariff plans and network coverage. Aircel 3G has been rated the best as far speed is considered by various users.
(iv) Based on reliability and customer support:
Airtel and Vodafone are the two best companies regarding reliability. They are the two biggest giant companies in India. They are providing network all over India. Most of the business men, travelers or even ordinary people have Airtel or Vodafone connection. They can have 3G net connection wherever and whenever they want.
These two companies have the maximum customer support and also have the maximum customers.
(v) Based on value for money:
After seeing the above details it will be better if you use Aircel, Airtel or Vodafone. Airtel and Vodafone are a bit costly but give a good service. Aircel is a bit cheaper but you may not get a 3G connection everywhere. So it depends on your location that what plan you should choose for your 3G connection.
3G has been quite expensive compared to broadband connection. The network coverage of 3G is still not good enough to reach the rural part as the user density (number of users per square unit area) is low and also it is not affordable for the people with lower income. But with the introduction of USB Dongle by Vodafone, 3G network can now be accessed even in rural area using just the SIM card.
Suggestions for Selecting the Best 3G Service Provider
Based on all the above considerations, it will be fair enough to use the following network according to the needs:
1. For people living in rural areas but aspiring to use 3G, Vodafone is the best network available at reasonable rate.
2. For the users looking for 3G at cheaper rate, Tata Docomo is the best option.
3. For the users in urban area looking for 3G with higher speed, lower price and good network coverage, Aircel is the best service provider.
According to me, BSNL is the best.
VODAFONE IS THE BEST 3G SERVICE PROVIDER IN MY AREA.IT'S SPEED IS 4.59mbps [download] AND 1.83mbps [UPLOAD].
For me Aircel 3g is the best 3G provider in India.
Vodafone is always best 3g network in india
Probably Anurag might be Aircel employee or very numerous person :), Aircel is worst service provider in Chennai, leave about Tamil Nadu, challenging me is most welcome! Tons of issue recorded by me Pan Chennai on their coverage
In my whole town airtel is only giving 3G and BSNL has started offering now
Vodafone is British Company.Don't use it.
Im facing significant problems. Their customer service is like a big dumb box. It looks like they have sufficient customer base so now at least they should bother how to support the customers. If this kind of service continues very soon Airtel will be history!
BSNL is the worst. The network speeds are almost down to zero during peak hours. The worst part is that BSNL being a Govt Company is not even bothered to improve their reputation. My experiences are based on Chennai Coverage.
I am with Airtel since 1999, but after upgrade my plan to 3G, facing network issue every week and their customer service do not care to resolve the issue. Every time they pass the ball to back team and vice versa. Finally I decided to look for another provider.
