Android mobiles with low cost always have some troubles/problems compared to average cost Android smartphones. Here I am given review about 12K priced (Rs. 12990) Android budget mobile phone by Micromax titled as A90.
Specificaiton
Dual SIM enabled (Mini SIM) Micromax A90 boasts of a 1 GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (2GB user available), expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The display on A90 is a 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480x800 pixel. The display is genuinely beautiful considering the cost factor. It has an AMOLED panel and the viewing angles are amazingly great. Whether you are reading message, looking at pictures or playing games and running apps, you will be crazy about the display. For a sub 12k phone the display is wealthy.
The device runs on Android OS 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich). Several smartphones in this price range run only Gingerbread and you have upgrade it to ICS.
There are many pre-loaded apps but in this Android mobile, apps doesn't matter. You can download tons of apps from Google Play.
Design and Body:
On the first impression while carrying in my hand its hard and slim. It reminds me of Galaxy Note. I was impressed by its build quality when I came to know the cost is 12K. It has large 4.3 AMOLED display and immune to fingerprints. Performance

While using this device I feel the smoothness while processing apps. The interface of MMX A90 is perfect. I used this mobile for more than 5 days and there is no trouble in playing games, running apps, call and internet. This mobile is as good as using a costly Android smartphone.
Touch Screen: Touch screen of A90 is little unsmooth. Touch screen was not as smooth as high end device that cost you Rs.18K. Sometimes the device need to be restarted if you face some bugs. But this happens very rarely.
Camera: Micromax A90 has got an 8MP camera that performs well on sun light. During night you can make use of LED flash and its average. While comparing to other budget mobile camera it made me to feel Micromax have installed good camera. The overall performance is like a camera in 15K priced mobile phones. Secondary camera is also available for video chatting works fine under light.
Internet browsing: Internet browsing in this smartphone is good due to its huge size. Keypad is big and you can easily input the text. Browsing is easier and good in this mobile. I have tried Skype calling that works without any errors. Many mobile phone miss to have this feature. We should thank the front camera in this mobile which is helpful to have a video chat. Youtube videos were also streaming well in this mobile. It lags at the beginning then it goes well.
Games: Games with small size works good. You need to have Wi-Fi connectivity to run big games like PES (football). If you try mulitasking then it will lag you. But even multitasking in high end device too lags somewhat. We should take this as a negative for this cost.
Battery Backup: The 1600 mAh battery in this mobile lasts for 2 days. For two days I have use this mobile hardly like browsing, SMS, call etc. So no need to worry about the battery backup. While playing high memory games I noticed battery draining faster. But this happens in all the mobile phone under the sun.
Conclusion: The overall performance is very satisfactory. If you are searching for a Android smartphone with budget 12K then go for this mobile. The only drawback I feel in this mobile is the body made of cheap plastic.
