Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S III mini on Thursday. The smartphone is similar to Galaxy S III version in appearance but has a lot of differences in features. Let's find out more about it in detail.
On Thursday, Samsung launched its new Galaxy S III Mini phone which is a compact version of the Galaxy S III smartphone. The phone looks quite similar to its larger version, the Galaxy S III. The Galaxy S III mini runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by 1 GHz processor. It has a 4 inch display that is smaller than Galaxy S III that was launched previously. For video recording and clicking photos, it has been provided with a 5 MP camera. It is available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants.
In mini version, the screen size is reduced to 4 inch which is a good decision from Samsung. The 4.8 inch screen of Galaxy S III was very large and too hard to handle. However, when it comes to screen resolution, Samsung has disappointed everyone. The screen resolution of Samsung Galaxy S III is 800 X 480 pixels which is very poor as compared to Galaxy S III's 1280 X 720 pixel resolution.
The primary camera has a resolution of 5 MP and is capable of recording 720p videos at 30 fps. An LED flash is also provided with the camera. The front camera is VGA which is quite disappointing.
Samsung Galaxy S III is already a successful launch from Samsung. Galaxy S III mini is a compact smartphone that inherits the features of the Galaxy S III smartphone. The Flagship model was a superb launch, but its huge screen made it hard to handle. May be Samsung realized this issue and decided to launch a compact model. The points of disappointment
People though that the Galaxy mini would offer great features similar to its larger version. However, Samsung disappointed its fans here. The mini version has a 4 inch screen, which is the only good feature. The rest of the features are not as good as those in the larger version.
In a nutshell, the Galaxy S III is a compact and degraded version of the Galaxy S III model. The features are not up to the mark as compared to Galaxy S III. This phone can be a good deal if Samsung launches it an extremely low price as compared to the price of the Galaxy S III model. So, wait till it is available in the market. Possibilities are there that it will be launched in November.
