How to enable custom domain switching for Blogger blog after adding two CNAME records

Are you looking forward to enable custom domain switching for your blog created in Blogger? Here is the complete procedure on how to start custom domain linking to Blogger’s blog for free.

Recent update in Blogger settings for custom domain linking has caused much havoc among the top bloggers and webmasters. Old custom domain settings for linking domain to blog have been failed and bloggers were shown an error message. Solution to the error - We have not been able to verify your authority to this domain is to add up the second CNAME in your domain settings lies in the recently modified settings from blogger.

So you need to first follow new custom domain linking procedure to add required settings in the website where you have purchased the domain name.

So according to the newly introduced Blogger custom domain settings, it has been made mandatory to add two CNAME records.

First CNAME Record is the old one pointing to ghs.google.com. Second CNAME record you need to add is unique and you must obtain second CNAME Record from Blogger before completing the full custom domain switching settings for your blog.

So assuming that you have obtained your Blogger blog's second CName Record and all settings in domain purchased website have done, we take you to the final step of linking the newly purchased website domain to Blogger.

Login page of blogger

Go to Blogger.com and login with your credentials. Click on Blog name which you want to link with the new domain. Here in the dashboard, click on "Settings" link to follow with final steps to associate your blog with new domain name.

Dashboard of blogger

Under Publishing tag, your blog address can be seen and under your blog's address, there is a link " + Add Custom domain Point your own registered domain to your blog". Click on this link and provide the address of new domain here. Click on Save to finally save the settings.

Settings page of blogger blog

If all the settings in domain CNAME records are correct, then the settings will be saved without any error. So go on and lin your custom domain to the Blogger's blog for free and enjoy the freedom of blogging about anything.

Custom domain added to blogger blog

Blogger gives you the best platform to host the blog with your Custom Domain and that too for free of cost. So you need not to worry about the huge amount of money which is collected by various top web hosting websites.

Just you need a domain name which can be purchased for pretty cheaper prices now a days. Blogger is helping the budding bloggers and webmasters to fulfill their dreams.

I solved it like this:

You have to set 2 CNAME:

The first:
Host name: www
Value/Destination: ghs.google.com

The second:
Host name: 4KOC4TUT4UMK (example only)
Value/Destination: GV-LMW3ETDM2YKA7VT7XVLGTS27PDDCXQZTPTGDPCVUVN2Q5HTLAX6A.domainverify.googlehosted.com
("gv" became to "GV" and ....Q5HTLAX6A.domainverify.googlehosted.com without dot ".".

You can set A-records (optional):

The following action links your naked domain (example.com) to your actual site (www.example.com). If you skip this step, visitors who leave off the "www" will see an error page.

Enter your domain name in the format example.com, and list the I.P. addresses shown below in the "A" section. You'll need to create four separate A-records which point to four different Google IPs.

216.239.32.21
216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
