Today, Lenovo has launched its latest Ultrabooks Thinkpad X1 Carbon. It is a business class utrabook with a larger screen in its class. There are already a lot of ultrabooks in the market from Samsung, HP, Dell, Sony and other brands. Lenovo has launched Carbon with some benefits over other ultrbooks. Other ultrabooks come with a screen size of 13 inches whereas Carbon has a large screen size of 14 inches.



The screen quality is superb and it comes with an anti-glare feature. With a screen resolution of 1600 X 900, you can easily enjoy HD videos on Carbon. You can play music, videos, and games at the same time without worrying about its battery life. Carbon offers 8.2 hours of battery life which is sufficient for a long time multimedia usage. Moreover, it doesn't get heated after prolonged usage. You can use it for quite a long time without worrying about the heat.

Thinkpad

The body of this ultrabook is made up of carbon-fiber that makes it extra strong and durable. Due to the use of carbon-fiber as a building material, the weight of this ultrabook is only 1.3 Kg which is lowest in its class. Lenovo claims it to be the world's lightest ultrabook. Apart from its sleek looks, it offers faster processing and 40% faster boot time with Intel Core i7 Processor and turbo Boos 2.0. Also, its Instant Resume feature allows it to wake from hibernate nearly four times faster than other laptops.

For data transfer, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 are provided which makes the transfer faster. But the lack of VGA port will depress some users.

The superb quality webcam provides high quality video conferencing or chat. It works well even under low light conditions.

The ultrabook is build ergonomically good. Its island style keyboard that comes with progressive backliting is user friendly and doesn't bother your hand while typing. Also with the inclusion of glass touch pad, users will get easy and smooth navigation.

It also offers security features like BIOS lock and USB blocker. Through BIOS lock, you can easily disable all the input and output ports remotely. Usb Blocker is used to identify various USB devices and block them as per need.
