Ok so the D day for the launch of Windows 8 – Friday, 26th October 2012 is known to everyone. It is anticipated that the second half of October is dedicated to Windows 8 and the big steps that will follow thereafter. However, September is an important month for Windows 8 Phones. Samsung has already started this trend by revealing the first Windows 8 Phone device on 29th August, 2012. This will be followed making September an important month for the updates on Windows 8 Phone.
Windows 8 phone is the first set of hardware series along with laptops and tablets which will have Windows 8 as their supporting platform. It is worth seeing the efforts that the hardware market is putting to get their devices compatible and supporting Windows 8. It will not only change the way the mobile operating system works but will also make Windows 8 popular in the market by making it available in every hand that holds a mobile. September 5th, 2012- Nokia is expected to display some of its Windows 8 Phone – Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 being two of them which will be supported by AT & T as rumoured. This launch event will be held in New York City where Nokia and Microsoft have called a press event. The details are unknown as of now.
Around Mid-September- HTC is expected to reveal some of its devices supporting Windows 8 especially the HTC Windows 8 phone.Events in October
October 25th, 2012- A big launch event for Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface RT which will be held in the New York City.
October 29th, 2012- The official launch of Windows 8 Phone. The handsets and the devices will be available to the consumers a week later.
October 30th to November 2nd, 2012- Microsoft will organise the "Build 2012 Conference" which will be a platform to discuss the developer focussed things on Windows 8, Windows 8 Phone and related topics.
