But many of the Android users are much confused about the transfer of music files to their android device from their PCs or Laptops.

Today I am going to explain deeply about How to transfer mp3 files from PC to Android device. In fact, transfer of Mp3 files from a PC to an Android device is an easy process. But as I mentioned earlier, there are still many Android users who are little bit confused about this, even most of my friends asked me to create an article about transfer of mp3 files from PC to android, as they occur error while direct syncing. Now, if you want to know about the easy solution that I have found for this problem, then come along with me and you will know that transferring musics are just beneath your fingertips.

  1. Before just learning to transfer your music files onto your Android device, first let us check which are the type of files, which can be supported on your device. Most commonly the following types of music files are acceptable in almost all the android devices: MP3, AMR, OGG Vorbis, M4A, WAV, WMD, MIDI and all other major audio formats. But if the files have any kind of protection or rights over it, then you must first have to convert it, as they will not play on your device directly.

  2. Now let us see what are the useful stuffs that you will be needed while transferring your files from your PC. You will be needing an USB data cable for your Phone to connect it to your PC, an android device and finally a PC or Laptop from which music files are to be transferred.


Steps to transfer mp3 files from PC to Android smartphone or tablet


  1. Firstly, you will have to connect your device with your PC using the USB data cable.
    Once it is connected, wait for few seconds until you see an USB icon in your phone pops out in the menu bar. As you open your notifications panel you will see a notification telling: 'USB Connected', tap over the message to open a dialog box which will pops out. Now, on the dialog box it will ask you whether to mount or do not mount, you will have to tap over the 'Mount' in order to transfer files to your Android device's SD card.

  2. Now on the next step, open your USB drive(Memory Card) from your computer by opening 'My Computer'. If you are using Windows as your Operating System and if the above steps has been correctly followed, then you will get a windows appeared asking for what to do with the new hardware. In that case, click over 'Open Folder to View Files'. In any case if the above mentioned window does not appear, you can straightly go to My Computer and open Removable Disk, in most of the occasions you may have to wait till the SD card of your device to load(Probably it will take about few seconds). As you open the Removable Disk, you can transfer your desired music files to the folder named 'Music'. Don't worry if there is no such folder on your SD card, you just need to create your own new folder and name it as 'Music'.

  3. Now go to the folder where you have your music files being stored. Select the music files of your choice. You can multi select the files by holding control key on your keyboard, now select multiple files and drag them and drop on the music folder on your SD card. Another way to transfer the files is by selecting copy and paste by right clicking over your the selected items, click copy and right clicking over your music folder in SD card and click paste. As you start your transfer it will take few minutes longing depending on the size and number of files that you selected to transfer or even depends on the performance of your PC.

  4. After the files are copied, the process of transferring the files are over, now the only job left is to remove your USB data cable. Before you are disconnecting USB cable from your PC, you will have to click on "Safely Remove Hardware", in order to avoid loss of any data. After that you are safe to remove the data cable. Now wait for a few seconds to load the SD card back into your device. That is all, now enjoy your favorite music on your Android device.
