ASUS Eee Pad transformer prime released in India
ASUS released its most awaited tablet PC / net book 'Eee Pad Transformer Prime' in India for the cost of Rs 49,999. The special features of the devices are Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS that can be expanded up to Android 4.0 and its ability to be used as both tablet PC and the thinnest net book with the addition of QWERTY keyboard to the Eee Pad transformer prime tablet.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a multinational computer hardware and electronics company headquartered in Taiwan. It is well known as ASUS. Desktops, Laptops, net books and other computer related products and peripheral devices are the releases from ASUS. Four months ago it had announced an innovative tablet with very special features involved and finally got released in India recently. The word 'special' can be highlighted for the tablet released by ASUS because it got the honor of being the world's 1st quad-core CPU tablet. Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet got Android 3.2 Honeycomb running in it which has got a free upgrade to Android 4.0 with 500,000 downloadable applications on Android market.
The Eee Pad Transformer Prime can be considered to be a unique tablet, compared to the tablets in Indian or world tablet market. The uniqueness can be found in its design that is its ability to get transformed to net book mode with the addition of Q,QWERTY keypad dock.
The tablet is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU. There are 2 types of cameras in Eee Pad Transformer Prime. They are a 1.2 Mega pixel front camera and an 8mega pixel rear camera. RAM capacity is 1GB. Eee Pad Transformer Prime also includes a micro HDMI port and a micro SD card slot. In addition, 8G life time ASUS Web storage space can also be used for easy sharing and expand ability.
At the bottom of the tablet there is a 40pin connector, used for connecting the device for charging the battery through external adapter and for connecting the device to PC for data sync.
The 10.1-inch LED backlight WXGA super IPS+ Gorilla Glass display of Eee Pad Transformer Prime has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The battery capacity of Eee Pad Transformer Prime is 22Wh and hence the battery life can be extended up to 18hours when the device is added with mobile dock.
The Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet is thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Apple iPad 2, in particular the minimum thickness is 8.3mm. The metallic spun finish and finger print resistance of The Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet gives an attractive look and better reliability can be expected.
The keyboard unit that can be attached with The Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet is an optional unit and can be bought separately for $150 in all countries except India. In India it comes with tablet and the thickness remains same when keyboard is attached. So this gives another credit to the Eee Pad Transformer Prime net book as the thinnest net book in the world!
The Eee Pad Transformer prime was launched in two variants - 32GB and 64GB. In addition, the Wi-Fi facility also added. The total wireless features of Eee Pad Transformer Prime are 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

There are some fields in which the Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet/net book is still working on to add additional features. One of them is the lack of standard micro-USB connection facility in the current release. ASUS is also working to avail the facility of 3G+WiFi, but this will be implemented very soon in its newer revision of the tablet.
