HCL is well known for the release of highly qualified tablets featured with general and particular application at low and reasonable cost. From learning companion to the productivity, HCL has launched many tablets like HCL Me X1, HCL Me U1 in rapid growing Indian tablet market. Besides the launch of the MY EDU tablets, these are similar tablets released before. HCL Me X1 has the cost of Rs 10,990. HCL Me U1 has got Wi-Fi connectivity feature. But again these tablets do not have support for Android market. However Android Market could be separately installed if customers could get hold of the installer file for the same. But it becomes too complicated in terms of technical prospective for the HCL's new tablets. As per HCL notification, the tablets will be available for the institutions near Delhi and all over India from April 2012. Currently there are many tablets in Indian tablet market, some of them are Reliance's CDMA Tab (Our take), Beetel Magiq, Wishtel, iBerry, and governments own Aakash tablet. But HCL's MY EDU tablets stand separate from all these tablets. Because MY EDU tablets are the only tablets which can enable HCL to extend its offerings and hence its market up to college and school levels.
