How to buy BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets (and get fooled by the pre-booking system)?

Are you looking for information on how to buy the BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets? Read this article to find how to pre order the Penta TPad tablets, made by Pantel, India.

Pantel announced the Penta T-Pad series of tablets just 2 days ago. These tablets are currently offered in the Indian market through a strategic partnership between Pantel India and BSNL. BSNL is the telecom service provider in India and entering in the tablet market is crucial for BSNL to promote their data plans in India.

Currently there are 3 models of the Penta T-Pad tablets availble for pre booking.

T-Pad IS701R: Price Rs 3,250.00

T-Pad WS704C: Price Rs 10,999.00

T-Pad WS802C: Price Rs 13,500.00

You can now pre book these BSNL Penta tablets in the official website of Pantel, who is the manufacturer or Penta brand tablets.

Follow the links below to pre order the BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets:

Please note that by any means, a small company like Pantel cannot handle a large number of pre-booking orders received from huge number of students and others who have absolutely no serious interest in really paying the money and buying the product. Then why they go for this exercise of taking pre-booking from several thousand people? Probably they learnt the trick from DataWind which took pre-booking orders for their UbiSlate in the name of low cost Aakash tablet and then claimed they have received orders for millions of tablets.

How to buy BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets

Looks like Pantel is repeating the mistake DataWind did by allowing everyone in the world to preorder the tablets without taking any payment. Millions of people prebooked the Aakash tablet and UbiSlate tablets from DataWind and now the company is struggling to manage the sale and figure out who really want to buy the tablet by paying the money. The people who really sent the money to DataWind has no idea about the status of their payments and delivery of the tablets.

I think the same is going to happen with the Penta T-Pad tablets. Anyone could go and pre book the T-Pad tablets. There is no commitment to buy it. After you complete the pre order, you will be told that someone will contact you regarding payment and delivery.

In my opinion, the pre booking is just an eye wash for the company to generate some interest in the potential buyers. Thousands of people will end up wasting their time filling the pre order form with these low cost tablet manufacturers and then company will use those number to claim that they received millions of pre booking orders for their tablets.

If a company seriously want to sell their tablets, they should encourage only serious buyers to pre order it. They can easily limit the enthusiasts from pre ordering the T-Pad tablets just by askign them to provide the credit card information or other payment information in the pre-booking process.

Pre book BSNL Penta TPad tablets

You can just fill your contact details with address and prebook the BSNL Penta TPad tablets. But does that mean anything to a serious buyer? Probably not. It is practically impossible for a small company to handle the massive number of such prebooking orders. If you pre order the BSNL Penta TPad tablet, you will get a confirmation like this:

You will be contacted by email or phone shortly with the details of mode of payment and expected date of delivery

I did pre book the BSNL Penta Tpad tablet on the same day it was announced and received the same confirmation. DataWind also did the same with the Aakash tablet booking. So far, no one has contacted me from DataWind or Pantel or BSNL regarding my prebooking. It is practically impossible to reach both DataWind and Pantel to discuss any delivery status due to the large volume of phone calls they receive, which are beyond their capacity to handle.

How to make payments for BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets

Currently, the mode of payment is cash on delivery. If you have placed a pre-booking order, wait until you hear from the company. It may take several days before you get a call from the company asking for the details. Typically, cash on delivery means, you just pay the cash when the Penta T-Pad tablet is delivered at your address. However, I doubt the efficiency of this system. In a country like India, many people could place orders just for the sake of it and then not accept the product. There is no financial commitment to buy since there is no bank or credit card information provided to the company.

Pantel officials have stated that by March 5th, company will accept online payments through credit cards.

Also, eventually the BSNL Penta T-Pad tablets will be available for purchase in BSNL outlets and retail stores. Considering the huge demand at this time, you may have to wait a while before it is available in the retail market.

How to contact the customer support for T Pad tablets? Whom should I contact - BSNL or Penta? I am really confused who will support this tablet. I read in many websites that the Penta tablets sold by BSNL are very poor quality and breaks down often.
