Askey Computers has lately launched a 12" amazingly big screen sized tablet device called Capricorn 120A in the on-going MWC 2012 in Barcelona. Most of us were thinking up till now that the 10.1" tablet screen was quite big, but to our surprise this year Askey Computers have come up with even a bigger screen size.
Askey Computers is a Taiwanese company which has launched its first tablet device 'Capricorn 120 A'. It is powered by the latest TI 1.5 GHz Dual Core Processor. This Askey 12" Capricorn 120A would run on Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich operating system and as specified above has a screen size of 12" with a wide range of angled display. It comes with a RAM of 1 GB and two options for the storage capacities of 16GB and 32 GB.
Capricorn 120A is a powerful, sleek and neat tablet which is soon going to hit the market. It is one of the thinnest tablet devices with a thickness of just 9.6 mm. Display Screen: Capricorn 120 A has a large display screen of 12 inches and a wide viewing angle too so that the users can see a clear display even if they are standing at some side angle to the screen. The screen also has an HD display playback of 1080 pixels.
Look and Colour: The Askey tablet is a real thin one with a thickness of just 9.6 mm. It has a stylish fine carbon finish body which makes it feel really good when held in hands.
Processor: Capricorn 120 A is powered by a TI OMAP 4460/4470 Dual core processor with 1.2 GHz/ 1.5 GHz of processing speed.
Operating System: All those of you who are admirers of Android will be happy to know that this sleek and smart tablet works on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Cameras: The best part here is that Capricorn 120A unlike others has the same quality front and rear cameras. A 5 mega pixel auto focus camera is provided on the rear side which has capturing and output ability of 1080 pixels for 15 frames per second. At the same time a 5 mega pixel secondary camera is also provided on the front for video chats etc. The rear camera gives a Macro Capture Support of about 10 cms.
Input: For input it has a touch pad and a docking station with full QWERTY keyboard. Other input ports provided are USB port, Micro SD slot (optional) and an HDMI port.
Battery: The new Capricorn 120 A comes with a 29W Li-polymer battery. It has a battery back-up of 10 hrs.

As per one of the technical review websites techpp Askey Capricorn 120 A is a light weight smart tablet which feels very good when held because of the carbon finish body. It also is a bit different from other tablets because of the display screen size which is quite similar to that of a notebook.
The Askey Capricorn 120A would be a low profile tablet which looks very interesting and has a good scope of success when it hits the market. Although there has been no news from Askey about the price and launch dates for Capricorn 120 A but it is expected to be launched somewhere in June 2012.
