Microsoft announced a major improvement in their online advertising solution. Through the new campaign called People Powered Stories, Microsoft is bringing a sea change to their advertising solution that connect brands and consumers with real reviews from real people. Microsoft and BazzarVoice have teamed up to deliver customer centric, social oriented online advertising and announced a new solution called "People Powered Stories". It is a sea change for Microsoft advertising, which has been competing with Google AdWords to offer advertising solutions to enterprise customers.

What is People Powered Stories and how they fit in to Microsoft Advertising?


With the People Powered Stories advertising program, advertisers can take real world stories from consumers and integrate in to advertisements. It brings authenticity to Ads and better engage advertisers and consumers.

Microsoft has teamed up with BazzarVoice, an industry leader in social commerce. Through this partnership, advertisers can integrate real user stories and reviews in to advertising, along with content from other sources including blogs, comments, discussion threads, tweets, reviews, ratings, videos etc. Brands can create advertisements that integrate comments and feedback of existing customers. Research shows that feedback and reviews of existing customers have strong influence on selling a product. By including reviews from existing users of a product, companies can better market their products. BazzarVoice is a market leader in gathering user inputs from various sources including social media.
