How to check status of your DMCA complaints through DMCA Dashboard at Google Webmaster Tools

The Google DMCA content removal dashboard will allow you to file DMCA complaints and also you can check the status of your previous DMCA complaints. Learn more about the DMCA dashboard, which is part of webmaster tools.

If your content is reproduced by others, you can file a DMCA complaint with Google and request Google to remove the content from Google search results. I have been running websites for last several years and during last several years, I have come across several such situations where people copy my content. In most cases, I used to ignore such content copying. However, I started seeing many people filing DMCA complaint against me after stealing my content. So, I stopped ignoring those and started filing complaints with Google.

After you file a DMCA complaint with Google, you will be provided with a link to track the status of your DMCA complaints at Google Webmaster Tools. However, once you leave the screen, there are no direct links to find that page anywhere from other Google websites or Google Webmaster Tools. I had spent a quite good amount of time searching for the URL of the DMCA dashboard and it was hard to find it unless you know the exact name of the dashboard page.

Here is a screenshot of the DMCA dashboard:

I used to search for "Status of DMCA complaints with Google" and many other similar queries. Unfortunately, the DMCA dashboard never show up in search results for any such queries, making it very difficult to find the status of DMCA complaints.

If you are looking for the DMCA Dashboard URL to check the DMCA complaint status or make a new complaint, here is it:

NOTE: This dashboard will show only the DMCA complaints you filed. If you want to see the list of pages removed from your website because of the DMCA complaints from others, you can see it directly under your messages in Google Webmaster Tools.

I am very confused with the dashboard. What does it mean when you have an "approved" url. In my case the approved urls are the urls I am trying to get taken down. Is that right? Does this simply mean that the DMCA is approved? It's confusing.
