Cons: Same repetition as in the previous gameDetailed review of Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover game review
In the last franchise game of Gardenscapes, Playrix gave us an empty garden to design it on our wish using the money we used to earn by finding the numerous hidden objects and selling them in the never ending yard sale. Sadly, though we spent a lot of time decorating the garden that it is now the talk of the town and friends and neighbors want to come to visit, we totally forgot about the sad state of the mansion itself! In Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover game, you'll need to go through another hidden objet challenge to get the money in the yard sale to renovate your mansion before your friends start arriving.
Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover is like a long forgotten friend who has taken up a few new activities since we last met him. You will find that there are many new rooms in the home with many new items to find. However, there are also many repetitions which have been carried over from the previous part.
Though there are many rooms in the mansion you will find them repeating themselves in a cycle with 20 customers making their demands from the left side of the screen. You are still required to claim your profits regularly which can make the game a bit taxing if you are playing on a timer otherwise you can play without it for a more relaxed game.
Like in the previous game you have power-ups and coins hidden throughout the mansion. When you have used up one of your five hints in this computer game, you'll be able to find questions marks inside the mansion which will show you the visuals of the objects on the shopping list rather than just text which makes you game much easier. You have a camera power-up that highlights all the items inside the mansion you have on the shopping list. There is also a thermometer power up which makes the objects red for hot when you are closed to an object and blue for cold when you go farther from them.
At the mansion itself, you have to purchase a lot of upgrades for upgrading the flooring, furniture and other large structures. You will get to choose from a variety of these upgrades varying in their price and appearance. There are also decorative in the game for the mansion like the birdcage or the electronics. In between you have to play some mini games which required you to repair leaking roofs, taking out the dog for a walk and some other tasks.
All in all there is not much new in this computer game but it is still the same old engrossing and interesting game to play that the first one was. The power ups make your game downright too easy and if you would like to play it difficult you can just ignore the power ups. There are customization options available in the game that will take care that no two players have the same type of game play. Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover is a fantastic game which even with a little repetitive tinge has a polished feel to it; it has that interesting spark that will not bore you. If you have plated the first Gardenscapes or like any other hidden objects game then you need to try out this game as well.
