Microsoft announced Kinect for Windows in CES 2012

As said above, the price of the Kinect will be US $249 which includes a one-year warranty. This one-year warranty gives you the access to both human tracking and speech updates of the ongoing software with continued investment in Kinect for Windows-based software advancements which will come in future. It is also said that Kinect would give an added support for Windows Embedded-based devices.
