Apple launched its latest mobile operating system iOS 5. This upgraded version of Apples Mobile operating system is compatible 
with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, third and fourth generation iPod Touches, and both the first and second generation iPads.
The updated features include new notification Platform and iMessage - a new messaging platform where iOS 5 users can pass their message and chat free of cost. iOS 5 is integrated with apple's cloud service iCloud, that helps as a backup storage as well. New twitter integration adds variety to this new operating system. Even core apps like Safari and Mail have also been updated to iOS 5. Out of 200 new features, let us have a glimpse of some important updates of Apple iOS 5 operating system :
Notification Center
It is the most drastic change that has been applied to the new operating system iOS 5. Unlike previous version, in iOS 5, the new notification comes on top of the screen. You can open notification just by swiping over the notification box. It will just fade away when it gets stored.
There is a provision to access the notification centre by swiping downwards from the status bar. The categorized notification will appears that can be chosen to open or swipe it out. Other change in notification centre is that - every notification after one screen lock appears after you unlock it.
iMessage
iMessage is a messaging platform for communication between iOS 5 devices free of cost. It is more reliable than the blackberry messenger service.
Twitter
Twitter is now available in the new OS, it will help to send twitter updates through number of apps presented in it like photos from Photo apps, links from YouTube etc.
Camera Improvement
With a double click on the home screen you can now access the camera on your iPhone devices. You can click volume up button on the side of the photo to take a picture instead of using only onscreen button in the Camera app.
Mail Improvement
Now you can type in Italics, bold or underlined text also. You can drag to rearrange names in the address field. Other important features are Multitasking Gestures for iPad, iCloud support Redesigned Music app for iPad, Hourly weather forecast, Real-time stock quotes, Wireless sync to iTunes, Keyboard improvements etc.
