Upgradation from Windows 7 to Windows 8

During upgradation, technology gap occurs between Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating system and many times, it is expected that there may be some upgradation issue during Windows 8 Installation. So, through this article I will explain to you new Windows 8 installer functionality and other issues that might occur in Windows 8 operating system.

Windows 8 Installer and Upgradation

Windows 8 operating system is yet to be release and we are talking about new upcoming features of Windows 8. A lot of questions are also rise on direct upgradtion of Windows 7 to Windows 8 because earlier direct upgrade path from Windows XP to Windows 7 is not there as both these operating system uses different underlying technologies. In order to make use of upgradtion technology we have to overlap the technology gap between these systems and this can be made possible by using extensible driver's utilities that can act as the interface between these two classes of operating system.

For minimizing the gap between Windows 7 and Windows 8.we make use of new Windows 8 Installer that will keep your existing Windows 7 system files safe which is not possible with existing operating systems. Using Windows installer you can transfer existing installed programs to a new copy of Windows 8 system. Thus, this new functionality allows users to retain existing system files of Windows 7.

The Windows 8 virtual machine software box is used which allows lighter applications to run significantly. These applications are using virtualization security updates with backward compatibility that can be upgraded easily within Windows 7 operating system using virtual environment.

Issues during upgradation of Windows 7 to Windows 8

The developers have noticed an issue while undergoing direct upgradation from Windows 7 to Windows 8. This issue requires re installation of software packages again and again such that once upgraded copy is installed in system then also system will ask for new installation and displayed a notification message on screen that you are not allowed to upgrade a copy of Windows 8.

As we know that Windows 7 is the current version of Microsoft and Windows 8 is yet to come so there are so many years gap between both systems. Moreover, Windows 7 hardware configuration requirement is different from Windows 8 so while upgrading Windows 7 to 8, there may be hardware compatibility conflict that may occurs during installation. For example- If you are using 10 years old system for Windows 7 which offers full compatibility with Windows 7 but as far as Windows 8 is concerned then it requires some additional hardware support for its working. Therefore, it is assumed that older based hardware systems will not capable of running the Windows 8 applications.

Secondly, Installation problem will occurs during Windows 8 Installation which would slows down the performance of real world applications because information will not transmitted in the system as sometimes installation hangs in middle and it seems that upgradation is taking place but actually it's not. The main reason which is responsible for upgradation is gap distance between technologies as Windows 8 will expected to have ARM based processors with very high frequency speed but in case system will not have ARM processor and uses some other processor then compatibility issue may occurs and installation hangs in middle.

The case may be there when you are using third party Windows installer for programs installation then Windows 8 upgradation will not takes place because installer will not run on versions of operating system newer than Windows 7.
