How to improve the speed of the Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is a web browser that is used to browse the internet. While surfing the internet the browser should be fast enough to retrieve the results from the internet. Many of the users noticed while browser with Internet Explorer is very slow compared to other browsers. One the major reason is the Add-ons which cause the slowness of the IE.
Add-ons can a Toolbar, Search bar, Browser Helper Objects (BHO), and ActiveX controls like Flash plug in, Silverlight and QuickTime. Add-ons adds unique feature to the browsers, but at the same time it also decrease the performance of the browsers.
Add-ons and Plug-in are having different functionality. Add-ons will cause performance problem for each and every tab, because it will load on each tab where as a plug in will be loaded on the page where it is required like if a page requires a flash plug in play video then the required plug will be loaded for the page. Both Add-ons and plug in will use some memory.
Loading time of each Add-ons cause the slowness of Internet Explorer. Do not install to many Add-ons in the IE, some of the Add-ones will take more time to crawl. Most of the Add-ons cause more damage when you open new tabs in IE.
Some of the Add-ons which is taking more loading and here is the list of some of the Add-ons time in Milliseconds. Winamp Toolbar (ver. 5) it taking 1300 ms to load, AVG Safe Search IE Add-on (Ver. 9) is taking 1125 ms.

How to know Add-ons is causing the problem. Disable all the Add-ons for the Internet explorer and see the improvement. In order to disable then add-ons from IE click Tools and select Manage Add-ons will open Manage Add-ons Window (Check the below screenshot).
Manage Add-ons Window will list all the Internet Explorer Add-ons. Select Currently loaded add-ons from the dropdown list will list all the loaded. You can also select All add-ons will list all the add-ons. Now click inside the Window which lists all the add-ons and press Ctrl + A to select all the add-ons and click Disable all button will disable all the Add-ons for Internet Explorer
Now check the speed of the Internet Explorer you may find some difference.
