Steps to add a program to Windows 7 startup


Follow the steps below to add a program to Windows 7 startup.

- Go to the Windows Start menu.

- Click on "All Programs" to expand it.

- Locate the folder "Startup"

- Right click on the folder and select "Explore" or "Explore All Users". If you want the program to be added to the startup only for current user, then choose "Explore". If you want the program to be added to the startup for all users, then choose "Explore All Users".

Add programs to startup in Windows 7

- Now, locate the program you want to be launched at Windows start up. Right click and choose the option "Create shortcut"

- Drag and drop the shortcut to the "explore" window you opened in the previous step. Any programs added to this folder will be automatically launched at Windows.

This approach will work for both Windows Vista and Windows 7. For Windows XP, you have to take a slightly different approach.
