Google Chrome main window - clean, fast and light browser

Google Chrome after its public release has made up a lot of ground after being released in a competition of Top Contenders for the best browsers. Google Chrome is currently the third most widely used browser with 8.4% people of the world using it. Google Chrome made its ground against Firefox on memory consumption, i.e., it is a very light browser which can work on very low RAM computer too, with very less compatibility issues. Google Chrome is regarded one of the most simplest browsers in the whole world with only 5 buttons on the main user interface includes back, forward, refresh, bookmark, go, and cancel buttons, makes Google Chrome look very neat and very user friendly.

The best features of Google Chrome are that the things done on it by mistake(i.e. closed a tab, etc.) can be restored very easily with a different menu for recently visited sites. Starting in version Google Chrome 3.0, the New Tab Page was revamped to display thumbnails of the 8 most visited web sites, just like your phone's Speed Dial feature which you are all too familiar with. The thumbnails could be rearranged, pinned, and removed. Chrome is widely available for all the OS including MacOSX. Chrome does not have a status bar, but displays loading activity and hover-over information via a status bubble that pops up at the bottom left of the relevant page. Google Chrome 3.0 allows the user to use themes on their own wish just like Mozilla Firefox. Chrome security and browser safety is said to be one of the best with periodical downloads of updates of two blacklists (one for phishing and one for malware), and warns users when they attempt to visit a harmful site.

Advantages or benefits of Google Chrome

Hope I have helped you with making a decision on a good, fast, safe and free internet browser in Google Chrome. Do note that if you want a bit more freedom with the options and larger customisation with huge number of add-ons database, then Mozilla Firefox is the way to go. However, if your PC is old and you know new programs won't work very well, then Google Chrome is the ideal internet browser for you. Happy downloading and surfing the web. Do note that the Google Chrome setup is a web-based setup.

I use RockMelt, it's made by Chrome and it links all your feeds right into a sidebar;, lets you use Facebook chat wenvheer you're online, without having to be on Facebook; and their latest feature is View Later which is like a short list of temporary bookmarks. Like Chrome, it has spell check built in, and a translator built in, and Chrome apps work on it. I have never actually used Chrome, but I have heard a lot about it.
