Best new budget plans for Airtel/Vodafone/Idea with unlimited calling
The days of free stuff is finally over. After years and years of slashing their prices, the Indian Telecom sector is finally ready for hiking their prices. Of the three layers, Airtel and Vodafone -Idea have already launched their new plans, and Jio has announced that their new plans will be unveiled on 6th December.
The price war in the Indian telecom sector that was introduced simultaneously with the launch of Reliance Jio a few years ago has finally on its way out, or so it seems. Out of the three major private players in the Indian telecom sector- Airtel and Vodafone-Idea - have already launched their new plans for the users.
Reliance Jio seems to be on a wait and watch policy and is set to launch their new prices of December 6.
The price hike has been in tune with the attempt to stabilise the telecom sector, which has been bleeding for a few years now. The need for a massive funds requirement for the 5G roll out and a huge Rs 93000 crore dues to be paid t the Department of Telecommunications. Hiked Telecom Prices - An inevitable step
The signs of the price hike in the telecom sector were evident ever since the tussle broke down between the players over the IUC or Inter User Connect charges. With Jio planning its course of action wherein it began charging its customers at 6 paise per minute for every off-net call, the competition between the three major players toughened.
The financial strength of the sector began getting worse with the DOTs demand for the payment of dues amounting to a combined Rs 93000 crore from all the three players. The telcos had no other option than hiking the prices. Moreover, the demand for the data and the services have now stabilised and thee telcos do not see any issues in hiking their prices.
It was Vodafone -Idea that first announced its plans to raise prices. Airtel and Jio followed it up and indicated their decision to hike the prices. As per the plans, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have formally launched their new prepaid plans and Jio will come up with their new All in One plans with effect from December 6.Vodafone-Idea new Unlimited Plans
