  • Step 1: First go to Outlook. If you already have an account then log in, else if you are new to Outlook, then select create a free account and make a new account.

Note: The above steps are applicable here until Step 3, so the following steps are to be done after the above 3 steps.
  • Step 1: Under Connected accounts, select Other email accounts.

  • Step 2: In here enter your display name, email id and password of your Yahoo account that you want to import from.

Auto-forward emails from Gmail to Outlook


Since our end goal is to migrate completely to outlook we should also get the new emails coming up on Gmail and Yahoo in Outlook inbox right, so to do that follow the given steps to enable auto-forwarding of emails from Gmail to Outlook:
  • Go to Gmail Settings

  • Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

  • In the Forwarding row, click the button Add a forwarding address.

  • Go to Settings -> More Settings.

  • Click Mailboxes and select your primary mailbox account.

  • Under the Forwarding option enter your Outlook email address

  • Click Verify and a verification mail from Yahoo will be sent to Outlook, just follow the instructions in that mail

Now your new Yahoo mails will start appearing on your Outlook account.
