How the Sweatcoin app works
Sweatcoin or rather "currency of sweat" is an application created to transform your outdoor steps into Sweatcoins. That is, transforming every activity into something profitable, that is walking for one's health and at the same time having a reward based on the daily activity performed.
The idea behind the app is certainly positive: to entice people to leave home and do more physical activity.
I have personally tested this app and I can say that I have never encountered any particular defects nor have I found the problem reported by many, concerning the counting of steps in closed places.
However, I was able to see that buying products is not always possible with Sweatcoins. On some products when you proceed with the purchase in the shop, a 50% discount coupon is created on the product, but in other cases on less expensive items, it was enough to use only the Sweatcoins.
In conclusion, I can only recommend the installation of the application and use it as much as possible, making life less sedentary.
How does the Sweatcoin app work?
Once you download the app, currently available for both Android operating systems and iOS, it is configured by entering your name, email and activating the GPS. Once the settings have been completed, the app will start counting your steps and when 1000 steps are reached automatically the system will create a Sweatcoin (The Sweatcoin App pays around $0.95 per 1000 steps), which you can spend in the shop provided by the application.
Inside this online store, you can find offers that are continuously updated and can go from a purchase of small items, gadgets to more substantial prizes such as an iPhone8, Air Travel, Samsung TV and even Sweatcoin conversion with money, but for these prizes, you must have reached a very high sum of Sweatcoin. These offers come from contracts with companies that make their products available, with coupons acquired through Sweatcoins.
But how many Sweatcoins are we allowed? When installing the app, the free Mover version is used, and as such it has limitations, but with a monthly subscription you can take advantage of paid versions that allow a greater gain:Problems and defects of Sweatcoin?
To conclude, this application might seem fantastic, but there are also downsides.
One of the flaws in the design is that it cannot connect to fitness bracelets, which means that you always have to have the phone with you, causing the battery to be consumed quickly since the GPS must always be active, causing disturbances and discomfort.
Another problem: the system is made so as not to reveal the steps inside the buildings, therefore going on the treadmills is not allowed, therefore one is "forced" to have to leave the house outdoors to walk to reveal the steps even if it seems that they do not record all the steps made by users.
Many users have been able to see that to have a sizable profit in a short time it is not enough to just walk, but you must advertise the app by inviting people and making sure that they confirm the registration. In this way, Sweatcoins are given away.
Therefore you have two choices: the first is to promote and become an influencer; the second is to roll up your sleeves and grind dozens of kilometres a day.
