How to use MightyText to send text messages from your computer?

Imagine a situation where you are working on your computer and your smartphone is buzzing with notifications and alerts. How about a tool that will stream the notifications from your phone to your computer? This will alleviate the need for picking up the phone intermittently.

Yes, replying to the notifications may not be a tough task, but what if your phone over there and you are working over here? Won't it be the best option to check it out on your computer itself? This is where a tool like MightyText can be extremely helpful. We thought off checking it out on our computer and sharing our experiences with you.

MightyText - What it is?

Well, it is an app that specifically works as your companion for checking out your messages and notifications on your computer without having to pick up your phone. It can be your one-stop command centre for responding to the messages you may be receiving on your phone.
With its excellent functionality, it can be the best alternative to Pushbullet. The tool is quite similar to iMessage on your iPhone. You can use it to send text from your computer or tablet and yet make use of your phone number. You can also see the incoming calls. That can be one of the best ways to achieve connectivity with your friends when you have forgotten your phone.

You may choose to use either the web app or a standalone application on Windows. We prefer using the web app. You can reach out to it at https://mightytext.net/web8/?exp=1. The web app lets you sync the contacts on your phone so that the new messages will appear with the name.

A few salient features available on the web app include the option to dial a number from your computer without having to touch your phone (the feature may not work if you have a dual SIM phone and have not set default dialling mode.

You can also access your phone gallery through your web app, but the feature will require a Pro version.

What does the app excel in?

Of course, we have a host of PC text messaging apps available for your Windows and other platforms. But, MightyText is practically one of the most easier options to use. As you might have already found it through the above tutorial, it just needs you to install the Android app, grant permissions, sign up for the service and fire up the web app - that does it. So simple! In addition to the nifty feature that works like a charm, it also comes with a few extra features.

The Power View is an option that helps you to work with multiple text conversations. Yet another interesting feature we loved with the tool is the chat head kind of notifications alerts if you are in your Gmail or Facebook tabs.

What we did not like with the app

One of the missing options we will definitely want to find is the all-important Search feature. You cannot search through your text messages. Users have reported a few issues with the MMS functionality. We could not check it though as the issue appears to be cropping up only once in a while.

The Concluding Thoughts

Well, we find the app quite interesting and much easier to use in comparison to Pushbullet. Of course, Pushbullet has redefined the excellence in terms of PC Text messaging apps. If you are someone who gets a practically huge number of SMS and other alerts on your phone, MightyText can be your best bet as you would also get to type n the bigger screen on your computer.
If you think it is worth it, you can opt for Pro version at $ 39.99 per year or $ 4.99 a month.

It often happens to me, when I am writing an article and then a notification arises in my smartphone, and then I pick up the smartphone to check the notification and then for the next hour I will be wasting my time in my phone switching through apps. Hence Mighty text seems to be the best solution to my issue. Will surely try it out. Thanks for the great article.
