Special Features

Let's have a look at some of the features that will aggravate your eagerness to buy this phone.
Redmi 4 has many other features like a dual app, dual space, child and guest mode and Mi remote.

Dual app

This feature allows you to have two apps at a time on your phone. Sometimes you want to use two accounts of Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter etc. at the same time. You want to surprise your friend or you want to have fun with them with a new account on Whatsapp but you don't want to log out from your main account. Then Redmi has the solution of your problem. In Redmi 4 you can use two Whatsapp application and use it with two separate profile.

Dual Space

This feature allows you to have two phones in a single device. It also safeguards your privacy and important information. When you switch into your second space then all your media files, applications, games and other information are no more accessible. You can switch back to the primary mode by the switch back option.

Child mode or Guest mode

Sometimes your friends ask you for your phone and when you handle them, they start looking into your personal files, gallery, social sites and if they find anything ridiculous they make fun of you, your secret gets revealed sometime. But Redmi 4 protects you from all those peeping toms. By enabling child mode or guest mode you can customize your phone by setting the privacy and access option. You can restrict others access to important apps and files.

Mi Remote

It's a big problem in every home in our country. We often quarrel with our siblings on who will handle the remote. While watching television, everyone in the house tries to keep the remote with himself so that he can shuffle the channels according to his mood and choice. Sometimes, you get involved in some disputes with your family members or siblings over this issue. Well, here I have good news for you. Now, you don't need to worry for the remote because Mi remote app has tons of virtual remote apps to control many home appliances like set top box, television, AC, fan, cooler etc. The list of the virtual remote app includes all the major and minor brands of set top box, television, AC, fan, and cooler. So, next time surprise them by shuffling the TV channels with your remote.

Sensors

Redmi 4 has a wide range of sensors which add to your adventure with this phone. You would be aware of some these sensors like Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, and Gyroscope. You would have less or more knowledge about what is the use of sensors like Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Compass. Here, I am going to tell you about what is the use of Gyroscope sensor. Basically, Gyroscope sensor is useful for watching 360-degree videos and VR videos. You can search on YouTube about 360 and VR videos and you will get a good number of them but those videos will feel like normal videos unless you have a smartphone with Gyroscope sensor. You can enjoy 360-degree videos on your Redmi 4 but to watch 3D and VR videos you should have a VR headset.

Minor Cons of Redmi 4

We have talked enough about the Pros of Redmi 4. Isn't there any Cons of this smartphone? Well, let me tell you that I never disappoint anyone with a negative answer and hence the answer is yes. Yes, Redmi 4 has some Cons.

The major problem with Redmi 4 is that it gets hot during charging. But the best part is that I have a solution of this problem. You can get over this problem by following some simple tips. However, with some updates, this heating issue will disappear automatically but in the start, you will have to face it until the company offers an update for your device. Here, I have the tips to avoid heating of Redmi 4.

Always use the charger that comes with the phone.
Never use the phone while it's been plugged in for charging. This will not only heat up your phone but it can also reduce your battery life.
Switch off the data and other apps running in the background.
If you are not going to have any necessary phone call then it will be better if you switch to the flight mode.

These simple and useful tips will help you in reducing the phone heating issue of Redmi 4. But remember that in the start most of the phone suffers from this problem but trust me an update from Mi will definitely solve your phone heating problem.

Another issue with Redmi 4 is that you can use either two sim cards or a SIM card and a memory card at a time. The hybrid sim tray of Redmi 4 has dual sim tray with one micro and one Nano sim card option but the memory card uses the same slot as used by micro sim card. This is also a big demerit of Redmi 4.

I hope this article has cleared all your doubts related with Redmi 4. As stated above, now you will have jumped to your conclusion whether you want to buy it or not.
