Reliance Jio 399 Plan – Still value for money?
Jio Customer Plans have started running out as it's been 3 Month since the launch of Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer. But is it still that profitable to go with Jio even after other operators launching better offers? Let's find out.
Reliance Jio proved to be a great idea and managed to create a record of sorts by getting millions of users to buy their service just after launching their SIM Card. At the time of Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, customers were supposed to pay Rs. 309 in which users got 1 GB data every single day with Unlimited STD+Local Calls for 84 Days. For most of the customers, it's already been 3 Months from that recharge and they are confused what to do? Should they still go for Jio or opt for any another telecom network?Postivies of Jio
If we talk about Positives of Jio, then boy oh boy. It is the best and will be the best telecom operator to offer that internet connectivity in that price range. Even if you go for a broadband nowadays which offer FUP instead of an unlimited plan, you will see that Jio is much cheaper than all of them.
After GST, Jio again launched offer of Rs. 399 in which you get the benefit of 1 GB 4G internet per day and Unlimited STD+Local Calling to every network for 84 Days. Apart from all these you also get 100 SMS free every day.
Jio is nowadays installing public hotspot in famous locations as well such as Colleges, Parks, etc. with which you can login using your Jio SIM and enjoy it for free without any extra charges. (Data Allowance is prior to terms and conditions of your plans). Negative of Jio
Jio's network and customer support are much better nowadays, but call quality, lagging and call drops are still frequent. You are literally forced to either stand in the balcony or at your terrace to get that quality of VoLTE in few areas. Internet Connectivity speed is also down nowadays, but still, it's good for a light user and you can easily use most of the websites smoothly.
The only issue I have personally faced is in the department of Calls and from past few days, it's getting worse. While using Jio for calling, you literally feel that you are in old 90's in which you need to take your satellite phone in open and then you are able to use it, same it is with Jio. But still, Jio is working really hard to get these issues fixed and is installing more and more telecom towers in each and every city. Best part about them is they are even installing towers in rural areas which gives better functionality to people over there.Jio vs Other Telecom Offers
After a huge strike from Jio, telecom offers are decreasing their prices in a considerable speed because maximum users are now porting to Jio. Airtel recently launched a new plan which costs Rs. 399 and provided same usability as Jio's plan but for 70 Days. Worst part about Airtel is that, their website and even their customer care executives say that calling is unlimited but truly it is not, even on Airtel to Airtel. You are allowed to use free calls for 300 Minutes per day or 1200 Minutes Per week.
Vodafone, Idea or any other telecom network is not even in the race because most of them are still offering those old expensive plans. Vodafone opted for Unlimited Calling but for internet they still go for Few GBs.
Final Verdict and What I will use
Being an Indian and I support Indian startups, I will blindly go for Jio. It is the best telecom network which is not thinking about profits and giving value for money to its customer. This is the only reason that other telecom companies are in great loss nowadays. Jio's Rs. 399 Plan still looks promising and I will be using it. Talking about calling issues, It is a newly setup company and they are working at a very high pace to correct all the issues. So it's our sole duty to give them time to settle properly.
If you have any questions about Jio or Internet Plans, then feel free to comment down below. I will be more than happy to help you.
I am using Jio for last one and half month. There is absolutely no problem regards the connectivity and no need to go out in your balcony or terrace.
Only thing is sometimes the data movement stops for a few seconds and then resumes. As far as my knowledge goes it could be due to old towers and repeaters etc in usage.
Another thing is now the data volume available for disposal per day is tremendous - 1 GB and even after that the speed of 128 KB is there which itself is sufficient for the lazy surfers like me.
Overall Jio has opened a new era of competition in the telecom market.
