One Plus 3 review: My personal experience

This is my review of One Plus 3 smart phone newly launched in the market with very high response from its consumer. Let's see how it stacks up against the other players in the market.

It's been a while since the launch of the phone of the year - the One Plus three. Back in 2014 the troupe entered the market with its very first variant- One Plus One. This was not only the huge successful phone in the market, but also the one that changed the expectation of the consumer. The One Plus 2, of course, was not up to the mark, especially after the initial promise it showed with the launch of the first phone. The latest entry in the market, however, has turned the tide in its favor again. Let's delve deeper and take a look at this flagship phone.
The One Plus 3 is the phone everyone would admire and would like their hands on it. Today I am doing an in-depth review of the phone and also going to share my experience of using this phone. Without wasting any time, let's cut to the chase.

The design

Unlike One Plus 2, it came up upgrading its design which is eye catching at first glance. The 5.5 inch screen (73.1% screen-to-body ratio) is indeed the best size that gives you the feel of premium quality. Not to mention the resolution of the sieve, which is full HD-1080 x 1920 pixels (401 per pixel density) with very latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and scratchless technology. The aluminum unibody design looks somewhat good. I personally feel it could have been even better, but this is non-noticeable due to its high class operation. What I found most interesting is the fingerprint sensor placement. Unlike other android devices that are providing fingerprint hardware, it's positioned at the back of the device, which I couldn't find comfortable to use. But it might be because I was an iPhone user. Anyways, I am very content with the design and look of the device.

Image and Video quality

Let's on to the next concern - the camera quality. I have been using this device for some time now, and I can aver that this device does miracle with its camera. The 16 Mega Pixels, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash is just another charm of the device. For selfie lovers like me, it's an invocation. In short, I can tell the camera quality is really amazing. It gives you true color of life, even in low lights, and also its flash does not over brightened the image. Fast moving objects also appeared to be still, evenly exposed and clean on the screen. Coming to the conclusion part; there was no lag in the camera or shutter delay. It worked like a charm.

With chipset Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 and Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo CPU is just doing its work beautifully. I tried games like Asphalt 8 and Days Gone, and they worked like a charm without any fuss. You should be able to play any game or encoded video with ease.
I have used very high end devices, but this one is a real exception. When I came to know about its RAM (6GB) it left me speechless and so did its performance. It's super fast and high performance oriented. I never felt any warmness even while running big games and benchmark. I ran several applications at the same time to suss out if there is any warmness around, but it did not disappoint me.

Operating system

Before this phone I was using Mi Note 3 for a couple of weeks, but the user interface of Mi is not at all interesting. The One-Plus 3's own-built Oxyzen OS, however, is really clean and comes with lots of customization features. The phone does not have preloaded apps, though, which I think one should not be concerned about.
There are many developers who are looking forward to make custom ROMs for this phone and soon we can see many of them on the internet.

The Conclusion

In the ending note all I can articulate that if you have a budget of around 28000-INR, what you should consider is One-Plus 3. However, I am going to add another article soon which will be covering phones under the range of One Plus 3 and also phones like One Plus. If you found something else on this phone or any suggestions, please let me know in the comment section below.
