Blogging can be a lucrative business for many. There are a number of benefits associated with blogging including the freedom to choose your own working hours, popularity and high earning potential. But again, not every blogger succeeds in making a full time income from blogging. While some of the bloggers give up in few months, others find it hard to even get back the hosting and domain expenses. However, there are few professional bloggers who earn a handsome amount of money from their blogs. This post provides information about the top 10 earning blogs and bloggers in India in 2016.

More about Amit Agarwal: He is a graduate from IIT and he started the blog in the year 2004. Just like most of the newbies, he started his blog on the Blogspot platform and when he started getting good amount of visitors, he migrated to WordPress. One thing that I really like about this person is that he never boasts of his income or blogging success.

More about his website: Labnol.org is one of the most reputed websites covering the latest web technologies and software tools. The Alexa ranking of the website at the time of writing this post is 2566 worldwide and 344 in India.

Estimated Earnings: The format of the AdSense ads appearing on his blog suggests that he is a premium AdSense publisher. As per the estimation from his traffic and visitor analysis, this blog can be making in between 1.5 crore to 2 crores yearly. One more reason for giving the first spot to Amit is that unlike other bloggers who own multiple blogs, he is focused on only one blog.

2) Chandoo from www.chandoo.org
More about Chandoo: His full name is Purna Duggirala and he is an MBA from IIM Indore. He started the blog in 2010 after quitting his job and has sticked to it thereafter.

More about Chandoo.org: The Alexa ranking of the blog at the time of writing this post is 21262. Even though the Alexa ranking of his blog is below many of the blogs listed below, I have given him the second spot because of a valid reason. Unlike the other blogs which focus on AdSense(or other advertisements), Chandoo has launched his own Excel related courses that do sell well worldwide.

Estimated Earnings: As per one of his posts on his personal blog, he claims that he earned more than $100718 in sales in the month of July.

3) Harsh Agarwal from www.shoutmeloud.com
More about Harsh: Before starting his blog, Harsh was a software engineer. He is from Delhi and writes regularly about blogging, Wordpress and other related technologies regularly.

Estimates earnings: One of the most unique things about his blog is that AdSense is not the primary source of income. On the other hand he makes more income by through affiliate commissions and his own services through his blog.

4) Amit Bhawani from www.amitbhawani.com
More about Amit: Amit is an MBA and is quite active on various social media platforms. He owns a number of blogs in different niche.

More about his blog: The current Alexa ranking of his blog is 22165 and it was started in 2007. The blog covers a number of topics like blogging, SEO, gadgets, Android and Facebook. An important think to note here is that the blog which gave him all the fame (www.amitbhawani.com) is no more the major source of his online income. He has started other mobile review blogs after his primary blog got affected by Google updates.

Estimated Earnings: As per the blog income report published on his website the blog earned $14,115 in the month of June 2010. The blogging income report is quite old though and it is also not clear if the income is from only this blog.

More about Jaspal: Jaspal is a mechanical engineer and he started this blog in October 2009.

More about his blog: At the time of writing this post, Savedelete has the Alexa ranking of 11390. The blog also covers a number of subjects like blogging, technology, android and much more.

Estimated earnings: I could not find a income report on his blog, but as per the traffic stats he might be making anywhere between $4000-$5000 per month.
