How to register warranty and check status of Strontium products online
Have you recently bought a product from Strontium? Do you want to register its warranty online? Then, read this article to know the step by step prodecure of doing so. It also shows how to check warranty status of Strontium products.
Strontium Technology Pte Ltd. is a flash memory manufacturing company based in Singapore. It manufactures and sells flash memory related products like USB Drives, MicroSD cards, SSDs etc. If you have bought any one of these products and want to register its warranty, then you have to do that online. This guide explains the same process in a step by step manner.
Strontium Products come with either of the 3 types of warranty policies offered by Strontium Technologies. These are :
1. Lifetime Warranty : It is applicable on RAMs, SD Cards and MicroSD Cards.
2. 5 Year Limited Warranty : This type of warranty is applicable on USB Flash Drives or Pen Drives.
3. 3 Year Limited Warranty : It applies on Solid State Drives (SSDs). Registering Warranty
1. First of all, visit this page - http://www.strontium.biz/support/warranty-support and you will see the warranty form as shown in the image below.
2. Fill up the form with your original credentials. In the first box; enter your name, then your Email ID, then you contact number, then your country and then you Address (optional). In the last 2 boxes, you need to enter the "Serial / Mfg Number" and "Part Number" . You can find these numbers on the product itself. The 2 images below will you help in finding them.
3. Once you have completely filled up the form, click on the "Register" button and you will see the following message :
"Thank you for your submission. It has been recorded. Please note that you won't receive any Email acknowledgement/confirmation for this submission. Please contact us if you require any warranty assistance".
4. That's it. You have successfully registered the warranty of your product. Checking Warranty Status
1. Firstly, visit this link - http://www.strontium.biz/support/warranty-support/check-status. There you will see a form as shown in the image below.
2. In the first box of the form, enter you name, then you Email ID, than Country name, then Serial / Mfg Number and then Part Number of the product. In the last field, enter the name of the product you have bought from Strontium e.g., MicroSD 8 GB, USB Drive 4 GB etc.
3. Once done, click on the "Check Status" button. Now you will see the following message :
"Thank you for you details. We will email you back the warranty status at the earliest".
After few days, I got this email :
"Its an 8GB Micro SD Card and certainly eligible for life time warranty. Please send it to our nearest service centre for replacement".
From the above email snippet, I can conclude that my product is still under warranty. I can send it to the nearby repair center with the proof of purchase e.g., bill and get it repaired for free.
My SD card is not working....
