Google Apps Updated With New Features and Improvements

Updated Features of Google Apps

Google Apps recently updated its features to increase its performance level and some improvements have been done for better efficiency.

  1. Voice Typing in Google Docs: Google Docs is a word processor where you can write and edit the text of your document. The new updated feature in Google Docs is voice typing. This feature can be achieved by choosing the Voice Typing option from Tool menu. After done the limited testing upon this feature, it seems reliable to use this feature.   2. Research Tool: The new feature added in Google Docs is the Research Tool. It allows you to place the quotes or images in your document while using the app. To use this feature, you simply click on the research option on the upper right corner. Type the topic on which you want to research. After getting the results, press and hold on the text or image you want to copy. You will see the insert button on the right top corner. You can place your image or text there to insert it in your document.
  3. Explore in Google Sheets: An analysis tool is added in Google sheets called explore. With the help of this feature, an automatic chart is generated that helps the user to understand their spreadsheet data easily. You can see this option on the rightmost corner in the bottom.   4. See New Changes: Working with Google Docs, Slides, and Forms, you can easily check the latest updates made in your Google Docs and know about the person who made those changes. A person can do this by clicking See New Changes tab on the top of your document or by clicking the File menu in Google Docs.
  5. Templates in Documents: While working with Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, you can select the Template format for your documents. A pre-designed template is available for various types of products like for use-cases, invoices, case studies, newsletters and many more. You can achieve it by simply visiting the home screen of them. Currently, templates are available only English, more languages will be added soon.
  6. Partial Cell Formatting: The size of cells in the spreadsheets does not fit equal for all. So Google Apps updated its features that allow you to select the specific portion of characters of cell individually and format that portion only. This feature is available for Android and web.
