Lenovo K3 Note review—A Killer Smartphone in totally affordable price
Are you looking for a mid-range Android smartphone with killer features? Then Lenovo K3 Killler Note might be your answer. Here in this article I have discussed about all the pros and cons of this smartphone in detail. Let's find out what made this phone so popular.
Lenovo K3 Note is a highly popular phone in the online market as it offers some cool features in a very affordable price. It is available only in Fllipkart for just Rs.9999. It's still unavailable at the local market. I bought the phone about a month ago in Flipkart flash sale. Here I will discuss about my experience regarding this phone.Looks and Build:
The phone is currently available in three different colours—black, white and yellow. The back cover is made of plastic and the phone feels extremely light to carry. The body is quite handy and feels comfortable in hand (dimension 76.2x152.6x8 mm). The volume and power buttons are placed on the outer side of plastic cover which makes them easier to replace.

The phone has a 13.97 cm (5.5 inch) IPS display with 5-point Multi-touch, which makes it ideal for gaming and watching movies. It comes with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). The visuals look very bright and vivid on the screen. This phone has 178 Degree Viewing Angles which is good. But it doesn't come with a Gorilla glass protection, so that is surely a minus point. But it also comes with a screen protector plastic film, which quite does the job anyway.Performance:
Lenovo K3 Note comes with a 1.7 GHz true octacore processor (64-bit). I even tried running multiple apps and switching between them, and didn't feel any lag. Overall it was a smooth experience. This handset also comes with 2GB RAM, so you can play heavy games like Asphalt8 without major problem. The processor is Cortex-A53 (MediaTek MT6752 64-bit 4G LTE) and it runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 . The phone is suitable for multitasking.SIM and Connectivity:
The phone supports two microSIM slots compatible with GSM, WCDMA and LTE Sim cards. Both the slots can support a 4G microSIM which is pretty rare in other smartphone. It also supports micro USB, Bluetooth version 4 and Wi-fi. It has a 3.5mm audio jack.Sound and Music:
Lenovo K3 comes with another new awesome feature which is Dolby Atmos. It will change and enhance your music experience by surround virtualizer, Dialogue enhancer and lot more other settings. It creates a 3-D environment just like a home theater. But you need a high-end earphone to experience it fully.Battery and Storage:
A smartphone is never smart enough if it runs out of battery every now and then. Lenovo K3 Note comes with a decent battery (Li-Ion, 2900mAh). In my experience it does last a full day with moderate gaming, surfing and calling. When speaking about storage, I already mentioned before that this handset comes with 2GB RAM, besides it also gives 16GB internal memory and up to 32 GB external via microSD card. I'd say the RAM and storage is pretty impressive in this low price bracket.Camera:
One of the main attractions of this phone is its camera. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP snapper at the front, which is another exclusive feature in this price range. It offers full HD video recording. Some if the other features are Dual LED Flash (Single Tone), Auto Focus, HDR, Guidelines, Geo-tagging, Face Detection, Auto Beautification etc. But in my personal opinion, you need a tripod or professional hand to click a perfect noise-free image. The front camera is proper for selfies with the auto beautification feature.Other Features and drawbacks:
The phone comes preinstalled with many Apps and games like Facebook, ShareIt, SyncIt, Spider Man, Green Farm and many more. It has a unique Lenovo Vibe 2.0 interface other than the common one we see in most of the phones. The various sensors in this phone are Game Rotation Sensor, Light Sensor, Orientation Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gravitation Sensor, eCompass etc. But one of the biggest negative points of this phone is the SAR value (Specific Absorption Rate). These are, at the Head - 1.590 W/Kg, at the Body - 0.688 W/Kg. The upper cap is at 1.6W/Kg which is pretty close to that of head. Therefore it is advised to use a headset while talking whereas possible. Also the makers claim that the actual SAR value is always far below the specified value so there is no need to think about it.My personal Verdict:
The phone comes with a few drawbacks, like minor heating problem, no Gorilla glass, high SAR value etc. It also doesn't come with a headset. But if you still ask me, am I happy with this phone? I'd say, yes. Because, in spite of the few drawbacks, the phone comes with tons of features. I have compared lots of other phone models before buying this one, but no one could beat this in features in the same price range. If you want a smooth experience with nice camera and music and 4G connectivity, then surely go for it.

Lenovo K3 Note is truly an amazing phone. It has a record of sorts with a sale of 47000 devices in the first few seconds of its first ever flash sale.
It does have its own drawbacks as well. The low end MediaTek processor could be a cause of concern for some buyers. Also lack of screen protection is another disadvantage. It has a new competitor in the form of Yureka Plus. However, the K3 Note scores over its competitors with the better processing power and an awesome battery backup.
