Best headphones for Moto G with mic under Rs.1000

Looking for headset with mic for your Moto G smart phone? This article provides a comprehensive list of popular Moto G first and second generation in-the-ear headsets that are currently available at popular e-commerce portals. Check out the unique features and price of each.

There are several headsets out in the market. Sometimes highly rated headsets available in the market don't show the desired results. As you would know, the headset performance also depends on the phone it is connected to. In this article I have chosen the best headsets that are compatible with Motorola's Moto G.

Philips SHE2675BB/28

Price - Rs. 450

Philips SHE2675BB/28 is an 'in-the-ear' headphone with microphone facility. It allows changing tracks by pressing the button provided on the headset. This feature is very helpful when you want to change the track without unlocking the phone.

The headset volume at normal levels is loud enough, and at maximum level the sound can hurt your ears. Not all headsets deliver such loud output. The ear buds are made of rubber, sticky enough to stay in ear.

The microphone button upon a single click pauses music, on double click repeats the tracks, next track for triple and previous track for four clicks. The sound quality and bass is reasonable.

Samsung HS130

Price – Rs. 745

I got this headset along with my Samsung Galaxy S3. This is the headset you get with all of Samsung's high end smartphones like the Note series and S-series. The headset wire is tangle free and the material used in the headset feels premium.
Samsung headset under Rs.1000
With the headset pack you will get three ear buds of different sizes. You can choose whichever ear bud is comfortable to you. I heard that you will get these ear buds even if you purchase the headset in retail. Samsung HS130 headset delivers awesome sound. With apps like Bass Extreme you can set amazingly high level of bass. Not all headsets can deliver such amount of bass.

On the Moto G, I did a comparison with my friend's SkullCandy headset which cost him Rs. 1500. We both agreed that Samsung HS130 has better surround sound, loudness, bass and treble. If you have any spare Samsung phone then it is going to work flawless on them.

The microphone range of this headset is pretty high, so there's no need to keep it closer to your mouth. The caller will be able to hear you even if there is a distance of 60cms between you and the mic.

JBL T150A

Price – Rs. 700

JBL T150 supplies a powerful bass if you tweak the equalizer a bit. With default equalizer settings, I was not happy with the music, upon tweaking the settings I felt the real power this headset can deliver. You have good control over the music with this headset. In normal headsets, you won't get the desired sound no matter how much you change the equalizer settings. But this JBL headset gives the expected output.

The sound clarity is good even while playing low quality audio files (compressed files).

Skullcandy S2RFGY-386

Price – Rs.980

This headphone has got attractive color and design. The fluorescent design makes this headset very attractive. Skullcandy designs are unique that you don't normally find on other headsets. The ear buds are so light and smooth that it doesn't feel like that I'm wearing them. It fits perfectly in the ears and causes no pain. Sound quality is great with Moto G.
Skullcandy headset under Rs.1000
However, this headset demands some care. It attracts dirt and needs to be kept in a clean place. The wires get tangled easily if you keep them in your jeans pocket. Music quality wise there is no issue with this headset. To experience flawless music, play uncompressed music files (i.e) more than 320kbps.

Skullcandy headsets appear good, even at an expensive pricing. The ones that would appeal most are those from Philips. The ability to do anything - right from moving between tracks and pausing - must be said to be a good feature. Which means you won't need to surf through the tracks on your phone.

Good compilation indeed- but it would have been good to see the mention of the online stores from where these headsets can be purchased.
