Among the many, many cool apps to choose from in Apple's selection of over 1,000,000 applications on the iTunes App Store are some that can enhance anyone's reality. Called "augmented reality" applications, these apps utilize the iPhone's GPS system and camera to overlay information about the surrounding world onto a live camera feed.Bionic Eye
With Bionic Eye, users are able to visualize Points of Interest on a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding area. When the device is held in the vertical position, users see a 360-degree view of all POI that is updated in real time as they walk through the streets of any city. When users want to get back to their parking spaces, they then hit the "Where Did I Park?" button. After that, they choose whether they want to use turn-by-turn directions or use an exact location which shows a compass pointing to the car. Nobody that uses this handy app will ever forget where they parked again.Path Tracker
Path Tracker is a handy little application that tracks users' paths by GPS and allows them to upload the paths to the web and share with friends.
